Resistance 2 - PS3

If you haven't played this yet, do so now. Holy f*cking hell is this game gorgeous. I had a chance to play this alongside GOW2 and this game, graphically, blows GOW3 out of the water. Has anyone else had the chance to play this yet?

yes ive said it 100 times, resistance 2 is by far the better game over GOW2

GOW2 is a lot of fun since it's basically a retextured version of the original, but Resistance 2 really blew my expectations out of the water. I think MGS4 used 4/7 of the PS3's cores while Resistance 2 uses 4.5/7. :cheers:

Yes... very good game.... Though I like the 'ww2 feel' of the first one, this one is unique in its own way

Storyline was good (but the first storyline was better, more in depth), but online play OWNS... coop mode is AWESOME, both local and online and the graphics are better than the first one.

OH you're going to have fun.... i love the maps and "ww2 dated' look of that one.... plus the online deathmatchs are mucho fun on the first one ... :)

The first is okay. Graphically it's not very impressive, but it was a PS3 launch title so there's little to be expected. The gameplay was fun, if a bit difficult at times.

i just started playing it, its been sitting a few days while i tried to 100% codwaw....graphics are alot better, a few of the effects are kinda dumb though. things were said in the beta but i guess that didnt want to fix it. like how when things fall in the water it, its more like falling stick slow moving water.

Good to hear it lived up to its potential. I thought GOW wasn't all that great, even the shortcomings of Resistance weren't enough to put GOW on top over it.

how do you know if your playing a ranked game? i was trying to get the beserker trophie (use every berserk in a competitive mode). so i went to competitive section and they all looked like personal games. but i tried anyway and it didnt work. does this stuff only work on the online co-op competitive? that seems to be the only type of games i can get XP in all.
