that swap has to be ridiculously expensive and difficult to do.

i know there are alot of 4g swapped mirages. The mirage's bay and evo/eclipse bays are real similar from what i gather, but i dont kow to omuch about mitsus.

Not really. This Mirage looks like it's still FWD. The EVO IV-IX engines all bolt in pretty easily. Then you just convert the AWD tranny to FWD (weld the center diff or use a viscous coupling eliminator). Then you just need to figure out the wiring and route the plumbing for the intercooler.

Usually, if someone has converted a 5G Mirage to AWD, they'll use the EVO's 5-lug setup as well. The AWD conversion isn't horribly difficult, you just need to cut out the spare tire well and mount the EVO rear subframe.

The car from Pinks was a 4th Gen Mirage (93-96).

he really wouldnt NEED something different, they are pretty good intercoolers. i just thought with the money spent on the wheels and exterior of the car he would have bought a blingy blang polished FMIC
