So after my bro got head work done to his 4g63 valve job included, lashers replaced, he decides to run the car a bit with a finger tight oil plug....

So needless to say the lack of oil going to the top end galled the #2 exhaust cam lobe and #3 intake lobe to the point where you can't see the oil galley. When it seized the cam the exhaust timing gear bolt sheered, and slammed in to the intake gear so hard it shattered. Question is.....

Super glue or duct tape?

Seriously though, anyone know where to get some cams and a timing gear on the cheap?

He has a lot more work ahead of him than just a cam and some gears. I love the way you told the story though.

Quick q

Bro bought a 93 talon same year as his short of the fact the donor car is 2wd auto vs his awd manual. Is it easier to drop the engine out the bottom or through the top? Thanks again dsm xperts :)

Didn't you make a thread about what car should your brother get? Seem like your brother made the wrong decision LOL

lol having oil drain out the pan due to his own stupidity doesnt mean anything. BTW i didnt realize dsm parts were so cheap. I have to pay an arm and a leg for the stuff he can get.

btw he lifted both the tranny+engine out.
