Don't honestly remember much of it. Mechanical failure was the cause, something in the rear end locked up, I remember it locking up, hopping, sliding, and trying to fight it... I ended up being flown to Erlanger in Chattanooga, got to come home around 3 the next day, the wreck happened around 11:15 the night before.

That should have been the happiest day in your life.
You survived which looked to be a pretty harsh crash...not to mention you killed another Stang. :)

WOW!!!!!! That grass is in REALLY bad condition. I wonder who their lawn maintenance is. Is that along the highway? If so, the state needs to hire some more lawn care employees.

Really? Then I've probably met you at some point and time. Kitt's one of my good friends, I used to hang out down there all the time. You hear about Ron getting on with Drift Emporium?

Mechanical failure? what exactly? It's a solid rear beam and the 8.8 in that MACH 1 is probably, most durable and most reliable diffrential in the world in the 1$-100,000 dollar price range.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure, when the insurance company checked it out after the wreck they just said something locked up, didn't specify what.

Actually no, I was just happy to still be here, and didn't really worry about it. I probably should have, but at that time it was the last thing on my mind.

I've tuned Ron's car too, but yeah, you may have met me. It's possible.
Whoa that was a hell of a crash. Was it the ground that pushed the roof down or did you hit something? I'm glad you turned out alright.

Nothing till mid-February. Paid off some debt, started school, didn't really worry about a new nice car. Bought an GSR swapped EF, drove it back and forth to school.

Yea, it's def. time to call a lawyer especially if the insurance determined the failure as a mechanical one, i dont care if it is a 69 mustang, this should NEVER happen. If the rear end wasn't modified i would def. of considered filing a report. I feel for ya', when the rear end locks up on these cars every thing is over

Thats one thing I'm not 100% sure on, I personally never pulled the diff cover, but the car had a few tasteful mods when I got it (Steeda Tri-Ax, Borla mufflers welded in stock location, etc.) so I can only assume it was stock.

wow that hurts seeing that everytime. also the lock up was mostly a piece of those shitty ass stock spider gears, a nice little tooth came off and wedged itself perfectly into a gear, and bam...ride of your life!
