I have watch all 3 races thus far, (Netherlands, China, Malaysia) and it has been really good racing. To those that have never watched, A1GP is a spec series that is more of a country vs country show instead of constructor battles.

The new car is based on the Ferrari F2004 chassis with a 600hp Ferrari engine. The series allows for a "push to pass button" which does add a good bit to the battles on track. The teams get 4 for the sprint race and 8 for the feature race.

The best drivers in the field have been Adam Carroll from Team Ireland and Filipe Albuquerque from Team Portugal

Great addition for the 2008-2009 season is Andretti Green Racing. Michael is team manager and Marco has just finished his second weekend. He was 3rd in the Malaysian race so good drive for him.

Another exciting talent is Fairuz Fauzy from team Maylasia. He is a race winner and a ferocious passer.

A1GP fits into the off season of racing. That is why most of the races are held in the southern hemisphere.

So there is no reason why he'll not be in next years IRL season.

There is another important fact about the 2009-2010 A1GP season.

The race at Surfers Paradice Australia has moved from IRL to A1GP.
