On Oct.10,2008 my 12yr. old son was hit by a car on Salem Rd. The driver never even slowed down.It broke his ankle and required surgery & a screw to repair the growth plate and hold the bones in place while healing (so another surgery will be needed to remove the screw). He is still unable to walk and will have to start Physical Therapy soon.

The driver has not been found yet! Yes they know they hit him..He hit the windshield and after they hit him someone in the car said "You Shouldn't Have Been In The Road." (per a witness). Witnesses stated the car was Red possibly an Acura Integra or Honda Civic. The car would have had damage to the front passenger side (headlight area)and probably windshield damage (we pulled glass out of my sons arm). The driver was possibly Hispanic or Black male with possibly White Female passenger.

Please if you have any info..do tell. These people HIT my SON and NEVER Looked Back!! They Could Have Killed Him!!!

not necessarily, there are plenty of dominicans and cubans that look black

could have looked black but sounded hispanic

I agree somewhat. But,they could of stopped and atleast checked on the kid etc. I dont think they would get into trouble if they checked on the kid,and he was on the street so I dont think they would get in trouble. LOL

They Are Not In Trouble Now LOL. The Kid Is 12 WTF Is He Doing On A Busy Street Anyway?

They Should Have Stopped Tho.

If it was during the evening, then it would've been hard to tell if the person was a hispanic or black.

are you people fucking stupid? so are you retards REALLY saying that if theres someone in the street, it doesnt matter if they get hit by a car and its their fault for being in the street? WOW.

regardless of what common sense tells me about this situation, the LAW says that pedestrians have the right of way, no matter what.

But yeah thats really fucked up of the people to just keep driving. Some serious Jail time if they do find out who did it though.
