Well, it isn't all bad. Check the life after death story of this one.

Comes to show that even a car that drives itself can still have a knob behind the wheel.

Autoblog:

With only 4,000km on the odometer, some fool t-boned it and it was a goner. In came Australian motorsport outfit Just Jap Racing, who took the wrecked GT-R and cut it down to use as for spare parts for their racing program.

Porsche, KTM, Maserati, and a short list of others already do. It should be part of the experience of owning a car like this.

No, i'm not saying it should be part of the price of the car but it should be offered as something that is handled above the dealer level for those interested in owning a high performance automobile.

We all know sure as hell that 90% of people buying this car cant be called adequate drivers if they ever want to push it. (On a closed course obviously ;) )

I'm not that cruel.

I just want a foot clutch and proper gearbox.

I just assumed that all the raw awesomeness of the car and the total JDM-ness of it ripped off the roof. I always assume that's what happened. :goodjob:

i love that it was properly recycled and not just shipped to some junk yard. i guess a car of that high a profile even in 'death' is worth something to someone.
