im just irritated with people taking advantage of it...the people that are here in mville that are victims of it are scamming people and get pissed cause places wont give them free stuff, etc...its getting on my nerves...i understand that you lost everything and that money, etc is an issue but some of these people are taking it to extremes

Yeah, I'm getting sick of hearing about it, but in our ADD culture if we aren't saturated by it we will just forget about it. Then what, all those people are screwed cause we know damn well our gov't won't do shit. The FEMA chief admitted that they had just discovered that there were people w/out food, water, power, etc trapped in the superdome(think thats it). The interviewer was shocked, asked him if they didn't watch the news or listen to the radio, they and other stations had been reporting on it for three days prior to his announcent. Absolutely rediculous.

It makes you wonder what other things are going on. The whole Katrina thing is a great distraction for anyone looking to get away with some stuff that that shouldn't be able to. I'm sure if they didn't want attention they could easily pay off the media, but still, with everyone focused on that no one is looking for other wrong doings.
