I came across this today on a different forum and found it quite interesting as it goes against common knowledge. I'd like to hear IA's thoughts on the subject matter. Any engine rebuilders tried this before?

i agree 100%. the reason manuals and magazines reccomend that it gets broken in easy is because they realize that most people dont understand how to PROPERLY break a motor in the way he says to, and most people wont be able to feel a 5-10 hp loss. you want to have all of the self-machining inside the motor done as quickly and as uniformly as possible.
