I do like it. It came out better than what i was expecting and is now the only car with that styling. I think only the Lambo Estoque concept has more presence than this creation.

This is also the second car Porsche is using to spread itself out as a brand. The fist was the Cayenne. I bet in twenthy years, Porsche will be closer to BMW and Mercedes Benz in terms of available models.

This was from about a month ago.

It might be great performance wise but it is ugly as crap.

I think everything about this car is atrocious...this looks like a 911 with water retention.

Porsche's toyed around with the idea of a four-door...there was the 989, and that looked slightly more tolerable than this.

http://www.autoservis.ba/slike/Porsche989_1988_4_vrata.jpg

I will say I like the window profile, and the front end looks alright though I've seen better from Porsche...I know, someone's going to argue with me that all Porsche's look the same up front, but I'm picky with details and if they'd have just grafted the front of a 997 or Cayman on there, it'd look good. It's not all bad...the biggest thing I don't like about this car is the rear end though. It's just a giant, formless lump. They could've given it the hips of a Cayman and it'd look really sleek and sexy. I think the only saving grace will be its interior...I know it's a button overload, but I think it looks very cool nonetheless.

However, a car like this gives me hopes for the possibility of a new-gen 928 or 944...just a front engined GT from Porsche.

I like it because I like it, if it was a KIA i'd still say it looked good.

Nah dude, it was never projected directly to you. Its just funny how everyone is saying sexy and what not when its not, not just you Simon but a buncha people. I'm just saying it pretty ugly but I bet it handles nice and has the power.

Seriously. The front end looks live a C6 Vette, A Carrera GT, and a 911 all rolled into 1. The side looks like a 7 Series and the rear looks like they just welded a cayman up to it. Sorry. Uber fail.

is it just me or from side it looks more like a wagon than a sedan? But nice car overall.

Porsche, you make the Cayman, which is one of the best looking designs from a company, any company, in years, then you run off and try to pull this, jackasses. I have an idea Porsche, let's try to give our customers a heavy car that looks bad and makes more people think of you as a family mover, lame. Why don't you just make a minivan and get it over with, that'll make the Buckhead Betty's happy. Yeah, a 911 with four doors, great idea on paper, then you realize that the 911 doesn't actually look that wonderful around back, at least the front end looks good, at least you can choke down your vomit by looking at the front.
Unlike the Volvo C30, this edgy car doesn't make the brand look better, it just dumbs down the name of Porsche.
A quick search shows some good engine choices available for the car, a v10 and possible a v12 from an Audi are possible choices, so this car will most likely be fast, but it will most definitely sacrifice weight for agility. What happened to the old days of light, nimble race cars?
P.S.- It seems like I've grown to hate everything, good times.

welcome to the new market.. Not a bad looking car.

They saw the SUV did well in sales.... So why not a sedan..

Smart Move I think.

............ :???:

They still make light nimble race cars. Which the Cayman isn't.

I like it! And ya know....im SURE that Porsche did their research before deciding to make a sedan. They have probably put YEARS of thought into this and have weighed the pros and cons...tons of market research etc.....Porshce is no new company....they know what they are doing.

It's a move for money, yes...I mean since Mercedes released their CLS, everyone's been wanting to build a "four door coupe" sort of thing. Porsche has moved from a specialized sports car manufacturer to a full-line luxury brand. They Cayenne did well...I don't think it's the prettiest vehicle, but it's alright and it's got excellent capabilities. Maybe this is what the Panamera will specialize in...I'm sure there's more to it to like than a strong badge, a fancy interior, and a pretty name. I really think they could've done a better job in styling it though...at least make the rear look like more than just a large loaf of bread. :dunno:

I'm not a big Porsche fan by any means, but that sh*t goes beyond the limits of hideous for any car maker. This car seriously challenges the Pontiac Aztec for ugly points.

it would look so much better if the roofline at the back followed the contour of the rear windows. if you look closley, you can see that towards teh end the window slants down at a sharper angle and kinda departs from the roofline, like they were trying to squeeze trunk space out of it. but if it followed the window line it would look great IMO
