If you had only $100 to spend on a sub which would you buy? (only speaker no box)

Any of these... would be my choice in that price range. All depends on what your going for though.

Pick up a RE Audio SE 12 from IKESOUND.com Great woofer that takes 750rms all day long. Loud, duper clean, and picks up the lows with authority.

I just put one in my teg ported, but also works very well in sealed applications.

They are 100 bucks buy the way. Woofer is amazing quality and I would rate it better than the Type R because it gets just as loud with out the harshness.

the answer depends on how much power you have to feed it and how much space you are willing to give up

Very true. He didnt give much info but I gave him some basic options in that price range. Depending on what he wants to do he could do it with a $50 sub too.

And like said, RE is good stuff too.

I would never only spend $100 on a sub. I would much rather save more and get a decent sub.

1st of all case in point ^ spelling = seriously

2nd of all i started this thread and I can only spend $100 right now.. so some of these comments are so worthless

3rd I am getting my CPA in accounting.. I need to accumulate 150 credit hours before I can test for it. I am going to finish graduating with only 132. So I have to take extra classes to get the extra 18.. $250 a pop for an average 3 credit hour class.. but I'm sure you didn't know about all of that..

Thx anyways tho man!
