pics are allright. They could use a small bump in exposure. Are these negative scans, or photo paper scans? Cause whoever did those on the photo paper could combat the darkness with a bit more time on the enlarger. Nice though, I don't wanna say film is harder, cause it really isn't too hard if you take your time, but it's definitely different.

most schools are too cheap to buy color processing chemicals/film/ and enlargers. Also to the O.P.,if you did everything on purpose, it doesn't mean it's right. Nowadays any high school girl can pop in a roll of black and white film, but suddenly they think that this automatically means every pic on the roll is artistic. I gave you constructive criticism, and you were all defensive, just try listening. I said they're all right, but they could be better, a lot better.

The first three pics were a bit dark to see all the features. I really love negatives style photos, they have that faded look. Other than the first three pics, nice pics.

thank you guys for the compliments, and f*ck you ppl who talk shit. im not in high school, the project was just to do some quick shots for a final project. i know im over exposed, i turned in my final prints, so i only had my practice prints to scan. yes we have color but we are only allowed to use b&w.

well it was. first subject was cars, second was motion. when my teacher refers to these as photoshoots when i am shooting i just tend to repeat what she tells me. sorry that you dont agree with me.

First off they are underexposed not over, unless you are talking about your clothes. Second when someone gives you feedback do not come off like you are Ansel Adams. There are some on here that can give you great feedback but with an attitude you will not get the feedback you are looking for. Third, like I said watch your composition.

Now if you want hardcore feedback, get off of IA. All you will hear on here is, "Nice Pics". Get on a real photography forum and let them give you feedback but beware it can and will be brutal.

Actually 98% of IA will always say "Nice Pics" even if the photos are horrible. Look at the threads in this forum, very rarely do you see anyone post real feedback. Example: "I just got a new DSLR and did a 'Photoshoot' with so and so." Then there will be two pages of "Nice Pics" even tho the photos are horrible. And lets not even get into the "so and so photography" that ends up on every newbies photos. Just because you have an SLR does not make you a pro photographer, just like having sex with your mate (gf/bf/spouse) does not make you a pornstar.

True. It takes time to develop skill like anything else. I am in the same boat since I just got my D70, and yes true constructive criticism is the only way you will know what you did wrong so you can improve upon it.

i go to gwinnett tech for photography, i started in sept. i havent even started using my SLR, and i didnt say i was a photographer, im just into photography, my major is art. but thank you for your input.
