Kinda gives the image a little glow. Maybe this will replace the HDR fad :rolleyes:

wow, very interesting. i can see that adding a little bit of new flavor. and yes, as hdr may be "radical" it is getting a tid bit overdone.

only works on some stuff tho. not everything benefits from the orton effect

Looks like just a soft focus filter was used. Nothing special.

The Orton effect is nothing new, I've done it to my photos before.

i never said it was a new thing. just hoped to replace the overdone HDR fad

this could still be overdone as well. its all about the eye of the person combining the pictures.

it really sucks that shitty photographers can combine two shitty photographs to combine a somewhat decent one. but, such is life i suppose.

Yeah, when I used to do it, it was a little 'fad' thing for me. I no longer like the effect except for in specific applications, as with any effect.
