I have a question about my Evo 8 passing an emission test in Gwinnett co.

It currently has an aftermarket exhaust system with the catalyc converter. Does anyone know if it will pass or fail an emission test?

The car is currently reigistered in Hall Co. but I need to change the registration to Gwinnett.

Thanks...

Evo 8 should be OBD2 Emissions test. As long as you don't have any emissions related trouble codes and your check engine light works, you shouldn't have any issues. If you want to be sure though, just go and take it and have it tested. If it still has a cat, then worst case scenario it fails and you get a printout telling you what to fix and a free re-test within 30 days.

Also, an exhaust will not typically change the emissions produced by the engine.

simple leave the registration in hall co. :P

you should pass w/o a problem.

just make sure your SES light is off before you go.
and run the car and get the cat hot before getting tested.

As long as you have no CEL's you will pass. or in dsm talk (service engine soon).
