okay, so i had been hearing about this but did not believe it but a friend called my wife last night and it had happened to her mom, apparently there is a white unmarked van driving around going door to door claiming to sell some sort of carpet stain solvent, the sales person is a very friendly female and once she gets inside she sprays you with something, i don't know if it's pepper spray or mace etc...well then 6-7 guys jump out of the van, run in the house and take everything worth anything! the cops cannot seem to catch them either, im looking for a link now to better describe them.

lol here is the email:

These people came to my house on Sat. when Charlie and I were alone. I
opened the door just a little and it was a white young girl (bout
McClain's age-McClain is 18 & a college freshman). She then proceeded to
try to enter the house by shaking my hand. I saw the can of air
freshener in her hand and I remembered a previous email I had gotten from
Hall Co Resource Officers. So I slammed the door in her face and almost
got her hand!!!! When I ran to lock the garage door, the men were in the
van "waiting" I guess. I had my cordless phone in my hand and called 911!
I did just like this email said. I hid at my big dining room window and
got the tag number. About an hour later the
police came by my house. They had caught them down the road just about ¼
of a mile at an elderly couple's home. The police asked some
minor questions and told me there were 7 men in the van!!!!! "Everyone
needs to call 911 when these idiots come to the door. OH, one thing they
are doing too is looking for cars in driveways, carports, etc. that have
handicapped on them!!! The officer says their main goal is to immobilize
you and the men come in and clean out your house I guess!!!! They could
only write them a citation b/c they didn't have anything stolen in the
van and they hadn't hurt anyone yet. They are from Madison County. The
police was adamant that they were "very aggressive"

who lets door to door salespeople in their house anyway??

Psycho

That's why I always answer the door naked. If the people don't run in fear, I know they're up to something.

Weird stuff. I remember something similar happened to some one I know. Some balck dude came into his house claiming he was gonna clean 1 room fo free, but the guy never came back. A month or so later some one tried to break into his house, but luckily he was at home with his gun.

About 3 years ago my cousin and I were home alone and some guy (claimed that we had a broken window that needed repaired) was trying real hard to get inside and we kept insisting that we had no fuking idea what he was talking about so he finally left and we called the cops to later find out he had robbed other houses the same way in our town.

Psycho

Did he at least fix the broken windows?

BobMarley
11-13-2008, 05:44 PM
No, there were no broken windows. He claimed that we called their company and said we needed our windows replaced.

Psycho

So then he goes around fixing non-broken windows? What a dumb ass.

Seriously, how are you supposed to run a successful business that goes around fixing non-broken windows. He probably would have made more money if he just went around burglarizing instead.

nice...why trust anyone now a days? I had one of those white vans come up to me while I was walking out to my car from work...they were trying to sell my audio equipment. I told them no...they said i was missing an awesome opportunity and then sped out of the lot...lol

A. We have a "no soliciting" sign at the front of our neighborhood.
B. IF they do make it past that, I typically answer the door with either my AK-47 or M4 slung over my shoulder. You should see the looks on their faces. They typically just turn around and walk away (in a hurry).

Oddly enough, about 1 week ago, a younger guy in a white van tried to sell me some cleaning spray shit. I didn't have the AK with me, but my Glock was hidden in the small of my back. The spray would clean wheels, carpets, stains, etc. I knew that I didn't want to buy it, so I fucked with him for a while then told him to go on.

I got that email this morning. Apparently some of the Kirby vacuum people that sell door to door are getting more obnoxious. My mom was telling me about some lady that let them in to do their demo or whatever then they wouldn't leave and she had to call the police to get them to go away.
