The bone marrow donor had a very rare immunity to Aids. Seeing as there is apparently a 30% mortality rate in having a marrow transplant, it isn't really going to become a widespread AIDS treatment, and also it is not going to be wonderfully easy to find donors with the immunity in the first place, but it opens up some new avenues of research at least.

true.even my mom,who was a surgeon back in boston,said the same thing when she read the article.however,the thought that a person is cured of aids is enough hope for the aids community in general to keep their hope alive and strong.i hope he does have the cure or antibody/antigen for aids.
