We are hiring up at Dicks Sporting Goods at the Mall of GA. Footwear, Apparel, Cash and Team Sports are hiring. The biggest demand is for cash, we need one in my department (team sports), I think footwear may be looking for 2 or 3 and apparel 1-2.

It is seasonal part time work, but dont let the part time part get you. You will most likely be getting roughly 30 hours per week. Pay isnt the best, but its not that bad. Most departments will start around 8-8.50 depending. It is a REQUIREMENT that you be available for the week of Thanksgiving, mainly Black Friday and the weekend to follow.

I was talking to the store manager today and he said it is mainly seasonal until January, but I think a lot of the seasonal people from last Christmas stayed on and are still there. The one comforting thing about that place is job security. You gotta mess up prettttty bad to get fired. They give you tons of warnings on everything except theft obviously.

You MUST apply online at this link:
http://www.dickssportinggoods.jobs/Hourly/job_start.asp?user_id=

Follow the prompt for state then city (Buford).

There are no in store applications anymore.

Figured Id give you guys the heads up first. They have been annoucing the last few days in our meetings that they are looking to get people in quick, so get your applications in.

Holy shit....I'm doing this. I will probably be the only one there that can understand the lacrosse section if I get the job lol.

Alpine- If you want the LAX section, its team sports, you will be working with me. Its going to be rough, our manager is transferring stores after this week. He is cool as hell and has been there since Ive been there. If the guy who we think is going to get manager actually gets it, its going to be rough.

Thanks BTEC, thats why I posted. I figured with the times like they are, and us needing seasonal help, Id let everyone know.

Thats cool OZ, she may want to go for cash or footwear. Girls dont seem to last in my department for some reason. Customers dont take girls as serious when trying to buy football pads and things like that. They always end up transferring out of our department. Unless she absolutely 100% loves clothes, tell her to stay away from apparel. Apparel manager sucks and its the worst department in the store.

Also, if you apply, tell me your name so I can tell my manager to pull your application and check it out.
