Stock is from the factorys Stock-it's supply of cars.
In actuality if you bought that car "From the factory" And it was stock with head/cam/etc, then you could call it stock ;)

Modifying=Changing the form of something(Ex: the STOCK I/E lift of a cam)
Stock Car= A car that has NOT BEEN MODIFIED FROM ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY CONFIGURATION.

Did your car come stock with the HP it has now? Don't think so.
Does a stock Ford Fusion come with 700 HP? Nope.

You are correct in saying that the stock setup of the parts of your car is stock. But not the configuration. The configuration entiling stock ECU tune stock cam specs/head flow/exhaust flow/intake flow/etc.

Aftermarket=the market for replacement parts, accessories, and equipment for the care or enhancement of the original product, esp. an automobile, after its sale to the consumer: The company holds a large share in the automotive radio aftermarket.

So, is your car stock? No.
No I'm not saying your car isn't fast or any other bullshit that you might bring up. Just saying that your car is aftermarket modified therefore making it a non "From the factory" Stock car. Stock car for 2000 camaro SS is ~325 HP I believe. If you're anything over that, then you can't be stock.

Examples: Can a STOCK Foxbody beat your Camaro SS? No.
Can bugman's foxbody beat your camaro ss? yes.
Examples:Can a stock Cobalt(Like my POS) beat your camaro ss? Hell no.
Can this cobalt beat your Camaro SS? Yes.

Same can be said for you drag racers in an NHRA rule book. That is if you can get off the street.

Imo any enhancement beyond the factory settings to gain power throw out the "stock" option.

Even if just exhaust is put on, it becomes modified at that point. True, it is "stockish", it can still make a huge difference on an evo or sti.
