:(
When i went to FL the beginning of the month my best friend took care of my pup, lyric.... He kept me updated on the fun lyric was having and sent pictures of him playing and romping around with their pit, roxy... Once i picked him up and brought him back down to my apt.. i could tell he just wasn't the same dog.. So, i decided to stop being selfish and instead of worrying how much it sucks... i would give him to my friend so that he could be up in blue ridge romping and playing all day everyday.. instead of cooped up in my cubicle all day.. then at an apt all night......
but it still sucks... and i miss him... the whole ride home from br (this morning) i kept looking in my rear view because he's normally in my cargo area... and i kept thinking i'd see his blocky head pup up.... i hope i did the right thing...

oh also... i've babied this dog for 2 years.... he's been my world.. my everything... i've missed out on a lot of things just to make sure he was comfortable..
didn't go on trips he couldn't be taken... he went to work with me every day...his bed is literally right next to mine.... basically for the last 2 years he's been my child... vet visits.. bee stings... gum in the hair... sitting up with him at night when he's getting sick... literally like a child... i didn't get rid of him because "he was a burden" or i didn't want him...

That sux man. I know what you mean though. I have a pit/boxer mix. I use to have a yard for him to play in all the time. Now I live in a townhouse and he just lays about all day doing nothing. I feel bad for him. I live a few blocks from a a dog park, but I don't always have the time to take him. I have considered loaning him to someone for now. Hopefully withing the next year I will have a house with a yard again.

that sucks man... i hope you get to move to a place with a yard... i have poles and fencing, im gonna make mine a yard next weekend. i dont want her to be with the other dogs unattended.
i did some research and they said it's not recommended since shes a pit.

Killer, I'm sorry to hear about you having to give your dog away. I've been dealing with a similar issue with my two dogs. I'm not sure what is going to end up happening to them after my divorce is all finalized. It always sucks having to give up a pet. I have had to once before and I felt so bad for it. I hope you can get him back one day. :goodjob:

I'm so sorry to hear that. I have a pet iguana that I have had since i was 10 yrs old and he is like my baby. I almost had to give him up a few years ago but luckily I managed to keep him. I hope you can make arrangements so you can get him back! Good luck!

i guess that's the only difference here... is that i didn't HAVE to do anything........ i just felt he'd be happier else where.... he has so much energy and just a loving/goofy personality... it just seemed unfair to keep him "tied down" at an apt...
ED don't listen to your research bullshit!!!!!!!!!! keep the pup around the other dogs... let it be raised WITH them being around and it'll be fine!!!! if you keep it away from the others then it won't know what to do when it actually is around them!
lyric grew up with my bosses dogs being here.. and always being around dogs in BR... the only dog he has ever snapped at was that weimriner(spl??? i know that's not it...) that was next to us in marietta.... because it barked and acted aggressive towards me/my room mate..

no one broke it.... and neither did i... i don't know how it happened... it was in a hard case... and went from my car to a house and was sat on a bed...
 Which Guitar?
my regal... the one i play daily.. and have written all of my songs on... not the eagle on....
it's the lesser of the 2 value wise......... BUT i don't even have the turser(eagle) set up... no strings.. no tuning keys... i was just so much more comfortable playing the regal man........ :(

Well there are plenty of other pits at every animal shelter. Your apartment would be a nice upgrade in their minds I'm sure compared to the consequences they are facing. It's really sad this breed has become "cool" to own, and then when they require some effort they are abandoned. Not in your case, but in general.

i agree.............. i'm really glad you said "not in your case" cause i about lost it!!! lol...
that isn't the case here... at all!!! he didn't out grow my apt or where i work.. i just know he's happier with his "girlfriend" roxy where he can run and play all day every day... as opposed to only when i have the time to take him out... etc etc...

makes me sad too.... he was practically with me 24/7... i didn't realize how many stupid small things i really did pertaining to him within my day... like getting him in the car/getting him out... he always layed under my feet at work and i'm used to picking up my feet in a certain way as not to wake him.. and i'm still lifting them higher like he's laying right there.... ... ... i'm ridiculous!!!

my buddy has a pup... i think around a year old... (not sure.)... most docile pit i've ever seen in my life..... just lays around for the most part.... i tried to romp with it last night....
all it did was lick my face and try to get in my lap....
it's so not your typical pit!!!!
