sorry you didnt like them, these were all taken at night so they arent going to look like daytime HDR photos and this is my first attempt but what exposures do you usually use for HDR? i was kinda guessing on these...

swollix
11-10-2008, 12:49 AM
You should only use 3 exposures, maybe -3,0,+3. The best HDR pictures are taken when the lighting is the most dramatic and you cannot properly expose an image in one shot, IE dusk and dawn.

yuck, I would not call that a good example of HDR, the picture is waaay overdone and poorly edited... This on the otherhand...

The best HDR pictures are taken when the lighting is the most dramatic and you cannot properly expose an image in one shot, IE dusk and dawn.Dusk and dawn is precisely when HDR is not needed, unless you just want to exaggerate the skies contrast. It's when you have extreme differences in lighting you need to expose for those areas accordingly. It's generally only used when you can't capture a scene with a single shot. All those shots the OP posted only look like the levels were extremely manipulated.

Me too, I hear the owner is accepting donations to fund turbocharger research to cure the SLOW disease plaguing many non-turbo cars. For more information you can send me a PM.
