i got sponsor help from mark massina from xs-power but nothing super big just the esentials for the turbo kit cuz we want to proove everyone you can do it without havin to spend an arm and leg,

i am doing all the fab, work in my car and everything on the engine buildup, as well as the wiring rollcage you name it! and my best sponsor is my pocket i like to thank xs-power, for all the help with the turbo components.

here are more pictures!

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica006.jpg

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica003.jpg

i prep the mock up engine+trany (in a note this is the w58 i got for now cuz i got all the components for it but the r154 is on the basement waiting for the 1jz bellhousing,

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica007.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica008.jpg

and you guys wont going to belive it but it went so clean inside the bay that i was like... something is going to happen!!!! 8)

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica009.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica010.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica011.jpg

and to surprise me more look the trany shifter position, now i really start to worry and i was really like,,, damn something is really to be real f..ked up later i know

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica012.jpg

then i realize today is my f..king day cuz it was almost unbelivable when i went down underneath the car and the transmission x-member and mount just bolt together and the driveshaft went in like it was made for it! CAN YOU BELIVE THAT

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica013.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica014.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica015.jpg

now is a really small interference with the turbo and hood, but nothing serious cuz i was going to cut most of the reinforcement out so no problem at all!

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica016.jpg

and here is were i got to do my magic, i got to cut the factory x-member brackets to weld new ones nothing serious it is going to be super easy thats on the next update.

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica018.jpg
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica019.jpg

look the front of the engine oil pan line in comparassion with the front radiator suport almost scuared ahhh?

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica020-1.jpg

i lower the car to the floor and the ride height is almost the same as if the 22r engine still there.

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica022-1.jpg

and here is how it looks !

i did the motor mount crossmember brackets they look ok to me but i run out of welding wire (spool empty) so i got to stop when i almost finish it, what you think!

these are the old brakets for the 20r;
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica001-1.jpg

this is how it looks now with the new brackets;
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica002-1.jpg

this is a close up of the bracket-solid mount without the top gussets cuz running out of welding wire :x ;

i will need a 8 inch wheel for the back these are 10 inches so are the tires, thats why they look too wide for the rears "also need to take in consideration i didnt rolled the rear 1/4 lips yet and didnt hammer the iner tubb yet" in order to have more space but i am prety sure they fit!
by the way all this is just moked up i will take it appart again to clean and paint it real good!
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica005-2.jpg

ok i did massage the rear inner fender (and boy that was a fricking hard job to do so) and look at the diference betwine them with the 15x10 wheels side by side!
unmassaged; the tire was touching the iner fender in this picture
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica004-3.jpg
massaged; the tire is like 1/2 inch from the iner fender in this picture
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/DSC03769.jpg

I wasnt trying to be a dick. I understand the build. I just hate when people spend alot of time to do a quality build and dont document the process fully. If the build actually gets finished and people use it as a reference for something they want to build it would help them out to be able to reference your work. Anywho.. Just my :2cents:

yes i get that "very sick buildup" comment every time and yes it will be i am hoping mid 8 seconds run in this car due to it weights 1000+ Lbs. less than the MK4 supra with the same WHP that have run in the mid 8's with manual trany, so i am aiming my cannons right there.

it is been a PITA cuz i got some customers cars and such a litlle time to work on them that really dont let me work on my own project as fast as i want to but it is going better now, i just did buy this week a set of 272 BC cams with valve spring + titanium retaner set + the forged 20 over wiseco pistons and pauter Rods to bulletproofing the bottom end to boost all the way to 40+PSI if necessary! i am using RC 1600 injectors and no nitrous at all for trany this is getting a modified R-154 supra trany with custom slipper clutch on it (more on that later) but i am fabricating the 8.50 cert. 4130 roll cage out of 1 5/8 x .083 4130 chro mo. and there is a lot of work ahead so you guys are in for this treat ;)

Awsome build, Im glad to see that someone understands how much of a blank canvas older cars are. We are currently working on a 7mgte in a 81 hatch corolla but are not looking for anything close that much power, and im glad to see that a JZ goes in that chassie so well, I have a 79 corona that i was thinking of the same thing. Great job and make sure to be at the next old school meet I know everyone there would really like to see that.:goodjob:

agree with you on the splater, but it need to be painted yet so i let the body shop do that, but the penetration is real good i garantee you that. ;)

Thanks bro,
I took the engine today to the machine shop to align bore the mains for the main studs, decked the block, bore + hone to 86.5mm with torque plate and decked the head. i cant wait for the (OUCH bill) but i really cant wait to get the engine back to start puting it together!

Also here is the trany i am going to use.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica153.jpg

I am hoping this clutch setup will hold the disc is a special sintered iron unit sliper disc and the preassure plate is a clutch master unit with a lot of preassure i will install it straight up first and if it sticks too much i will shim the preassure plate to achive the amount of slipery i need to get the job done the good thing about this is i dont have to take the trany off to shim it :D
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/celica154.jpg

the parts i ordered from Marlin Crawler to internally bulletproofing my R154 trany these parts are custom made by Marlin Crawler to beef up the 'R' Series Tranys take a look!
this is the bearing retainer the factory one is made out of aluminum and flex on high HP levels making a gap betwine the bearing and the thrust washer making the trust washer fail and brake missaligning the gears creating failure in the trany! this one is made out of Tool Steel with grade 8 bolts :D
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/bearingretainer.jpg

And this is the trust washer that is made out of cast iron from factory very weak this one is made out of Chorme Moly and is billet from a solid pice!
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/CANDUNGO1515/bearinretainerthrustwasher.jpg

With these parts the R154 becomes Virtually BULLET PROOF! I HOPE

hell yeah sir! take it back to the 70's! the whole time looking at the build i liked what i saw but i was thinking to myself, "gawd i hope he's not using an xspower turbo" hahahaha so since you've cleared that up, i'm all for it.

the microtech'll work great, we're using an ltx12 on our gt42 3 rotor FD rx7 as well. the wiring's easy too.

that turbo's fuckin huuuuuge LOL you can make 900 on a 74mm so if u crank that puppy up to 40psi that'll be rediculous :D

much props to ya man, you made my day

Did i know you from somewhere? i think yea, i use to work for Sae Kang (RIP)
@ finishlinemotorsports,
Anyway i got a call from the guys at www.miketurboinc.com (http://www.miketurboinc.com) and Mr. Hong told me he was able to customize my GT45 to a 78mm inducer extended tip wheel so i was like jumping in one foot cuz that way i didnt have to boost all the way to 40 PSI we belive that at 35PSI we'll reach arround 1000 + or - whp and thats my goal, to have a engine capable of reaching out more than 1000 hp just in case but we will runn at a moderate 750+ whp to start dial in the chassis and we hope to runn in the 8.50's @ no more than 850+ whp all this on a manually shifted supra trany! and a single disc sintered iron clutch setup,

More pictures to come stay tuned!

Right now i am still looking to someone who do the paint and bodywork, i want it satin Black but it got to be perfectlly done cuz the car is going to be at diferent events and a magazine from Australia want to do a coverage of it after finished, and we can negotiate somekind of sposorship for the paint to be exposed in the drag circuit of NSCRA new race events coming to the south east and northeast!

lets see if this work!!!! ok it does :) so here are some more in the cage ;)

As you guys can see, i did the rollcage foundation to be one with the subframe connectors to tie evrything together in one very strong SFI Cert. way, it is going to be a 8.5 Cert for now as i state before, i know it doesnt need all those other tubing for the 8.50 Cert. but i do it anyway to upgrade later to a 7.50 Cert. adding just couple of tubing more ;) planning on future more agresive upgrades!
