your an idiot, you think we are felling the immediate affects of bush? it doesnt happen that quickly. Plus Bush went through September 11th, Iraq War, Katrina, and countless other events that branched off from the three major ones I listed. I would love to see Obama's "experience" in those situations.

reason #25 why i am buying my plane ticket to another country. this "on job training" should go rather smoothly, just like the FREE money with more tax breaks, oops did i forget to mention i'm bringing my # down from 250k to 100k now, hehehe looks as though i MIGHT have under calculated on a few things and well... i'm going to NEED money now instead of giving it away. BUT on the good note, tyrone, bonqui qui, tashanda and shenana can afford those big screen tv's, more 40's AND that set of asanti's they've been waiting for now, and they don't even have to work for it!

don't agree. best i can do is pray that he doesn't get tested too fast and make some dumb decisions. its going to be interesting to see if everyone has the same BUSH reaction now if he screws up and points the finger @ each other. socialism is where its @ guys! :goodjob:

agree 100%

his race should not be the topic of discussion, but it should also not be the sole reason why he was elected by many voters. Friends of mine asked many Obama supporters why they voted for Obama, and all they can say is "I'm ready for change" ... a slogan, woo. But knew nothing about his political views.

But, this is who AMERICA voted for, and he won with overwhelming numbers. This is quite possibly one of the most important electons in history, and we are living through it. The decision in this electon will forever change the face of our country. Weather good or bad is yet to be determined, but it will be exciting none the less

Heres the thing on that Ren, to an extent I agree. But you said that we should be looking into Obama's policy rather than his race. I'm not saying you're wrong, just realize that something historic took place last night and considering the history of this country, it is monumental.

The man will have no authority for the next 76 days, we can spend the next 75 dissecting his policies but why can't those that are deeply affected by what they witnessed last night just recognize the achievement? If only for a day.

not to mention obama's horrific take on aborition.. like mccain said, "life starts at conception"..

Hmm. Ignorance truly is bliss, I guess, when you base your opinion on a segment of ppl based on one ignorant person. The irony.

Ignorance is truly bliss, I guess, when the Supreme Court has determined long ago, when life starts. Can this "life" you and John Mccain claim, live on its own at conception?

Ignorance is truly bliss, I guess, when you're scared of a new president you haven't given a chance yet, but are totally content with the current presidency.

i'm not going to get all into this thread b/c everyone wants to toot their own horn...

last two elections i said NO to bush; many on this board elected and debated round and round for him... we are worse off now b/c of him like it or not. mccain would of been a better choice then bush if he was given the chance. unfortunately for rep supporters after 8 years of rep white house and rep majority during most of the administration your party is now in need of a severe overhaul. clinging to age old ideals have lost your party not only the presidency but the senate and possibly a couple justices.

majority of US has spoken and Obama is the president for the next 4 years. after that time you can make a decision on what he has done right/wrong.

my opinion is not based on race.. by any means. plus obama is a melting pot of races.. which allows him to reach more people. however, i do not feel he has the experience to do the job as well as mccain could have. also, as stated above, there are several other issues he supports that i am strongly against. i mean even his running mate had some hesitations with the way obama will be able to deal with situations.

we don't have any other choice but to give him a chance so i just hope and pray that he will be able to get through the challenges that come with running this country.

8 out of 10 ppl who voted for obama have no clue what his policies are. and that is not a number i just made up in my room, its the ppl i have talked to that are voting for him. the only thing i hear is "he will change things" and other non sense. obama won because his campaign was well directed at the dumb sheep that are easily guided without having to get any real information. I think you should have to pass some kind of test to vote, not just sign up. Dumb bitches should not have a say so in a political election, much less the presidency. I dont feel like Obama won because more ppl liked his platform and policies, he won because his voters are fucking retarted. I have respect for ppl that actually know Obama's policies and voted for him, everyone is entitled to their opinion; but if you dont have any reason for your opinion; then it shouldnt matter to anyone but you (meaning your retarted ass shouldnt be allowed to vote).

As long as we have people of other cultures/color/religion there will always be racism.

I totally agree. Most people now days would rather sit around and bitch about how life sucks and they can't do anything about it than get out there and make it happen for themselves.

One thing people don't understand is how good it is in this country. This is pretty much the only country that you can come from nothing and aspire to be something great. If don't believe it go live in another country for a while. Even in another first world country you will find that whatever social class you were born in 90% of the time you will be in your whole life.

This is a 100% true story. Stay with me, because this is going be a long but good story.

This morning, when I got to the shop, there was a lady parked all sideways with a stream of antifreeze coming from beneath her car. I parked and walked over. She asked me if I could show her where her oil went. Of course I said I would not only show her, but do it for her. As I'm checking over her car, she explains that her car just started running badly and died, so coasted into the lot (which explained her parking prowess:D ). Fine. I check her oil, and it's a quart low. Put the oil in for her and show her where it goes for future reference. Upon further talking, she tried to put antifreeze in herself and spilled it, hence the streat of antifreeze. Fine. When we try to start her car, it won't. Probably due to ignition issues. We offer that she leave her car there and we diagnose/fix the problem AND (after further talking we found out she was on the way to school with her daughter where she is a TEACHER) we would take her to where she was going since she didn't have a ride. She came inside and started giving me all her contact info for the work order. Fine, right? Well, when I informed her of the diagnostic FEE and the procedure that if she got the repairs done we would waive the diagnostic fee and if not she would only owe that fee.......she gave me this blank stare. She then tells me she doesn't have $77 (diagnostic fee). :ninja: I guess she thought we'd diagnose, fix, and deliver her car for FREE?????.....

Anyway, she calls her husband and he wants to come here to "look at it" and tow it away......last I checked towing costs more than $77, but whatever. Fine.

She then proceeds to ask if we could STILL take her to work......:ninja: I decided to go ahead and do it as the right thing to do, eventhough she's basically just told us to F@#k off AFTER we helped her. Whatever. I crank up the car and take her and her daughter the 6 or so miles to HER work and HER daughter's school. Here is where the story applies to this thread:

During that car ride, I'm making small talk with her and her daughter asking about school and what grade she's in....etc. She then asked me, "what do you think about the election?"........;) :D So I proceeded to tell her that "it is, what it is...." To which she looked at me like I'd just cussed her mother out and said, "so you voted for Mccain????". Ummm, yes, I did as a matter of fact. She then proceeded to rattle off, almost verbatim, that we are "spending 10 billion dollars a month in Iraq when they have plenty of money and people here are losing their homes...." So I turned the tables and asked HER, why SHE voted for Obama. She REPEATED the same propaganda infomercial about the 10 billion dollars and actually used the words "we need CHANGE". :ninja: She tried to turn the tables on me and asked me why I voted for Mccain, to which I rattled off several different reasons from Foreign Policy to Tax policy to stepping across party lines to experience. Yall know what she had to say???? "Well, I just think we need some CHANGE...." :screwy: :ninja: You're kidding me, right? THIS is not only someone that TEACHES young children as an authority figure, she's also a mother, AND voted for Obama????

Yall want to know why Obama won???? It is because there are millions of people just like this lady who have no clue the who, what, and where as to why they voted how they did. I'm not saying that all Obama supporters are like this, especially since we've had some incredibly intelligent discussions in here between both sides. What I am saying is that this morning's situation is a drop in the bucket of how a well designed marketing scheme combined with a biased media then fed to uninformed masses can indeed get you into the White House. Am I bitter? Heck no. It is, what it is. He won, so he's my new President. No big deal. It is, what it is. I'm not bitter at all in all truthfulness.

Moral of this story is that in my eyes this lady represented someone that could serve as the poster child for so many Obama supporters.......

Race did play a part in this and that's undeniable and however asinine it may seem, it's human nature.

Take for instance, you're Asain.

Had there been an Asian candidate, it's safe to say he or she would get overwhelming support from the Asian community. That's a fact.

Also, the Black vote doesn't account significantly for Obama winning the votes in states significantly populated by Whites.

No, but I'm sure several million voters had no idea what Obama was about. They just voted because he was Democrat/black/Not McCain or whatever reason. They probably had no idea what he was about.

Listener: " i cant believe you guys just cant be thankful and happy that we will now have our first African American president"

Jeff: “I’m very excited that i live in a country that could elect its first black candidate, but i just dont think he is qualified and many ppl were dooped into voting for him"

Listener: " Dooped!? i Take offense to that.....calling someone stupid for voting for Obama.......how can you say that when your Candidate, senator McCain Has been to Jail!! JAIL JEFF!!.....so they can just let anyone be president now!"

Jeff: Dooped doesn’t mean “stupid”......wait.......Jail?.................... .. ...are you referring to POW? ........ok I’ve had enough with this lady........bye *click*....now that is an example of stupidity people"

Then they proceeded to take a phone interview with Tyler Perry a very well known and influential Producer/screen writer/director etc

The guy is 39 yrs old and it was his first time voting, because he feels like his vote and I quote “Will Actually mean something this year”

he obviously voted Obama, then proceeds to talk about how " he didn’t know he had to make 30 more votes that day, and just voted democrat down the line" the chick host on the radio was already crying out of frustration at the stupidity they had already dealt with before hand....but lost it here... balling over the radio trying to tell this man how much of a fucking moron he was …..its sad how much of an influence this mans opinion made to other potential voters

This is not just ONE person making this example....its everywhere. I'm not saying there aren’t ill informed white voters out there only voting for ______, because said person is of that same color.....but in EVERY discussion I have even witnessed or been involved in I have seen race/color involved. Fact is, a HUGE percentage voted for Obama simply because he was black, many voting for the first time in their life.......while most knowing little to nothing about his political agenda

I did not vote McCain either.......

because he has a white mom and a black dad, therefore empirical evidence PROVES he is bi racial. the evidence gives me that power.

His mother and his father is none of your concern, that man's ethnicity is what he claims it to be.. not what you deem it.

Was J. Edgar Hoover white? Just curious.

If you're black, go ahead.. I had a couple of friends growing up, pale as can be, blue eyes who claimed to be black because of their ancestry.

Nevermind the "one drop rule" which surely you are well versed in, that by a White man's standards dictates that he is Black.

If he was a criminal of some sort, I'm sure you wouldn't be so quick to try to debunk this.

If you knew about him you wouldnt have answered my question with.. a question. He's a pretty significant figure in history, I'm disappointed.

J. Edgar Hoover claimed to be white, absolutely hated Martin Luther King Jr. but he denied the heritage of his biological father who was black. It is his right to do so but its just another example that your heritage is not subject to perception.. it is what you deem it to be.

Giselle claims to be brazillian but has parents of German descent due to the part of Brazil she is from.. is she German because you say so?

Jamie, I respect you and how you presented your sentiments on the situation.

However, one person is not exemplary of the millions who voted for Obama.

If it were only one person, then I could care less. But in all honesty, I've found very few, and most are actually on here, Obama supporters that I've spoken to personally that handled the simple, "Why are you voting for Obama?" question with some sense of intelligence. I asked many, many people that same question when they expressed they were an Obama supporter. No lie, outside of IA, about 95% of those asked couldn't give a valid reason that didn't sound like a canned infomercial they'd heard on TV the day before.

This is what I'm basing my opinion on. Not just one person, but many. If that is any indication of the nation as a whole, then you can see why I'm saying what I'm saying. I mean, look at the Howard Stern video. I even saw a TV show where they asked young COLLEGE students just coming out of big "Vote or die" type rallies put on by the Democratic party to get students to register to vote where they asked simple questions like "How many states are in the U.S.?" or "How many Senators do we have?" or "Who is the Secretary of State?"......and the vast majority of students that had just finished this ra-ra rally and registered to vote for the first time COULD NOT ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS CORRECTLY. Now, look at the FACT that 60+% of voters in the 18-29 range voted for Obama last night.......;) Put two and two together.

I think what we really need to get this country ahead is to only let semi-educated voters vote. Make people take a test BEFORE their ballot is counted. We test teens BEFORE letting them drive, right? Yet, we let those same teens/young adults vote w/o being able to know that we have 50 states and 100 Senators?????

Yeah, BUSH is the only thing wrong with America.......

Wow, just WOW at this thread, lol.

I cannot even forumlate the response that I want, because articulating it on a web forum is pointless.

Some of the comments here are outrageous!

Lol @ BobbyFresh in regards to Obama's ethnicity/race/color. If Obama were to commit a major crime right now, ALL OF AMERICA would consider him a black man. Now that he is the President elect, he is bi-racial, lol. Fucking America.

I TRULY hope that many of the responses in this thread are ignorant due to anger, not real feelings.

Spews, no particular order, rather discuss in person:
-61% + of the vote for Obama was white
-Black radio really doesn't care to make an ass of the ignorant white voters BECAUSE WE DONT CARE!
-Caramel complexion in the White House scares many White people b/c Obama IS NOT YOUR PUPPET. He has different views that are not the norm and you can't accept it!
-Obama does not SHUN is caucasian roots, he is doing what AMERICA has always done....base him off the color of his skin. Funny how angry you are now, lol!
-The more you keep complaining about him, the faster you will age. He is the next President so calm the fuck down.
-If you want to move to Canada GTFO, one less closed minded "I hate America now" person to listen to.
-It seems that slavery and racism is a joke to many of the IA posters in this thread/fourm. That is why I personally dislike this forum sometimes (pwease don't ban me, love youse guys, lol).
-Several republicans stated that their party is out of touch for America. They realize that this is their wakeup call to FOCUS ON THE PEOPLE AGAIN.
-Bush was not that bad, he had A LOT on his plate. Grant it, some decisions were questionable, but he did it and its done. No President will be perfect, either they make a bad choice politically or personally.
-Give Obama a chance to a the LEAST shift the ideals of this country back to what our founders "somewhat" built this country on.
-His ideas will spark more out of the box thinking to restore the old America.
-Obama admitted himself that EVERYTHING will not change in 4 years, mabye not even 8, but strides in a better direction is what we need.

Respect is given to Jamie, RedGT, Mike and a few other opposers. They post quality things that are actually worth debating and thinking about. The rest of you yuppies that post crap......unplug your keyboard.

I struggle posting here in regards to politics. I LOVE to debate, but can't get my point across on the web, lol.

dude i totally agree. i have been saying we need a test for years. it will never happen though. i like the driving license comparison.

Ironically enough, we make people pass a test BEFORE we call them "citizens" only to let them vote in the next election w/o checking to see if they know what they're doing..... Hmmm, how's that work again??? :D

Funny, cause when you look at the exit polls those that voted for Obama were more likely to have a Bachelors degree. You really think those rural voters could pass a voting test?
Tony, you know I have nothing but respect for you, but SHOW me where you're getting that "data" from. Because in all honesty and like I said above, 95% of all Obama supporters that I have directly spoken to, I see it totally different.

BTW, if a person couldn't pass a basic knowledge test before voting, then they SHOULD NOT VOTE IMO. Period. I don't care if they are White, Green, Yellow, Black, or Blue. I don't care where they live, how much money they make, or how many degrees they have. If someone can't answer correctly that there are 50 states and 100 Senators, then you have NO BUSINESS voting. Right or wrong?

Let me give you an example:

My grandmother had no more than a basic education. She never worked outside the home. She was married for over 50 yrs to the same man, my Grandfather, when she passed. She raised 5 children of her own, 4 children she took in as her own, and 19 Grandchildren with a couple Great grandchildren sprinkled in there for good measure. To say she was wise would be putting it mildly. She was brilliant. She didn't get that from school. She got it from living life.

Now, with that said and in mind.......just because she could mix a hellva "hot tottie" and make us all feel better when we were sick.......does that give her the right to march into an operating room and perform surgery????? Why not? She was the best doctor we knew. She could mix and throw together freaking rocks and daisies and make us some kind of drink to make us feel better. Does that make her a Dr.? Why not?

Well, use that analogy with the American voter. You can have both ends of the spectrum. You can have Dr's that are dumb as a box of rocks and some little old lady that is 10x's smarter than he is at everything else in life. WHO do you want casting that ballot? The Dr. who is only thinking about who is going to help HIM and HIS business??? Or that little old lady that probably would think about everyone else first??? If she passes the test and the Dr. doesn't......why would that be such a bad thing that she vote and he not?

The bottomline is that a good amount of people casting ballots couldn't tell you why they just pressed the button any more than the man on the moon. Nothing wrong with that???? I beg to differ.

- I personally don't give a sh*t about Obama's race, but his views on healthcare and the like worry me.
- He is still a puppet for his party. He may not be a white puppet, but he's still a puppet.
- Might as well joke about slavery and racism. If not then it'll get taken too seriously and, let's face it, nobody wants that. Roll with the punches man.

.

50 states of exit polls, yes I'm a nerd. You're speaking to the wrong supporters, but then again some people don't dig down into politics and just go for the candidate that inspires them or exudes leadership.

Jamie, I get your point completely. Honeslty I agree, but to go even further, we need to educate people also. I volunteer locally for different events and organizations. The one thing that I have not seen is a class/course on politics. It would be awesome to a few professors, politicians, even normal people who know their stuff have educational seminars.

It could even be sponsored by local politicans, EVEN the damn parties!

I am going to get to work on this today, making an email to a contact now!

To be honest, I read it and I sense a lot of anger. A few things though;

- I'll give Obama a chance but, with a Democratic Congress behind him, I can't say that I think the changes will be for the better. Time will tell.

:)

Frustration more than anger

-I commend you on the first bullet, though many people will type it, but don't me a damn keystroke.
-I agree with you on the second bullet, but he is not going to be easily swayed IMO.
-Joking about slavery/racism is not something that I can agree with. I am opened-minded beyon belief, but there are too many racist and bigots out there that make me want to punch them. I interact with the community alot and refuse to let those notions continue to get swept under the rug.
-I agree again!

How's that happen? My daughter who is 14 knows the answer to that. But my point is exactly that......we are letting those same people who have no basic knowledge of our Political system.....hell, basic knowledge of the country they live in.....VOTE. Why? There is no right that says we have to in a Presidential election. So, why do we keep perpetuating the same idiocy over and over again. We don't let people w/o a degree and passing a test operate on us, right? Why do we allow people that are too stupid decide who can take our money at the end of a gun then???? ;)

What you mean is as long as we are different colors, the race card will always be used. That's bullshit. Everyone has the same opportunity in this country starting today. You are very correct sir, but you and I both know that there are older people who forget, many that don't care, and some that really never understood it in school. School is a pressure for many people. Many did not want to dissapoint thier parents, so they cheated their way to good grades, learning jack shit.

A community seminar/class or something of the sort will not be a pressure, and will slowly better America and honestly not cost us a lot.

I am not arguing that people should be hand fed information, hell its on the web EVERYWHERE. I do feel though that our education system can be supplemented through community involvement. I went to pretty decent schools growing up, made excellent grades, then went to college for 2 degrees. Honeslty, I gained a lot of knowledge through the after school programs that reinerated the classroom learning.

I am going to pitch this to some people and attempt to get a ball rolling.

Actually, it deters small business, which accounts for a very large portion of the US economy.....its directly proportional. 2/3's of 1/2% (half was reported by households in the top marginal income tax rate) of the 706 Billion dollars reported annually in 2006 was accredited to small business. That’s roughly 235 billion dollars. Why work harder, when you're not going to earn much more money? How then do we stimulate small business owners to buy more, create more job opportunities, expand, Provide for their families, give back more to their immediate community and so on.... Obama's Capital gain proposal is sickening as is. A tax rate that is the highest marginal rate faced in nearly a quarter-century. 37.9% to 50.3% for Sole proprietor and partner rate. You tell me how most small business owners will afford to maintain their business, let alone those who are driven away at the prospect.

That may very well be true, and yet I still stand by my statement. I didn't make the statement merely as some excuse why Mccain didn't get elected. I made the statement more so because I'd rather politicians be elected based on educated information and knowledge about what they proclaim to stand for instead of being elected because they bombarded the masses with fancy commercials and herd mentality. Know what I mean?

See, I don't have a single problem with anyone defending their belief and their vote IF they defend it using intelligence and common sense. yeah i was just saying something to my boss today about this factor. yes this was the largest voter turn out and my generation of voters came out in herds. that doesn't mean that votes were cast by people who knew wtf they were doing. i think a VAST majority of my generation that voted, just voted because they are supposed to now. so whoever they saw the best commercial for or whoever was cool (as lame as that sounds, i BET that shit happened). and also, my g/f is a perfect example, a lot of my gen. voted for a party based on what their parents beliefs or voted for a party simply because they didn't want to be like their parents. my g/f voted republican. why? because her parents are republican. if you asked her why... i bet money she would stumble all over the place and maybe ramble a fact from a commercial or something she heard from her parents or a colleague. so i think a lot of votes were cast as just a shadow of their parents vote.

95% of black people who voted, voted for obama.

And your point is?
If the Democratic candidate had been White, the percentage would have still been high. Kerry got 87.4 % of the Black vote in 2004.

95% of black people who voted, voted for obama.

While that is true, Blacks tend to trend Democrat anyways.

The real point about this election is not the total percentage, but the TOTAL NUMBER of Blacks that voted. I do not know the actual numbers but let me put it in perspective.

Kerry got 90% of the "black Vote". Lets say ONLY 1000 people Blacks Voted in 2004. That means Kerry got 900 Votes to the Republicans 100.

Obama got 90% of the "black vote". Lets say 1 million Blacks voted in 2008. That means OBama got 900,000 votes to the Republicans 100,000.

That means a gain of 899,100 votes for Dems and 99,900 for Republicans.

So Obamas 90% is much more significant than Kerrys "90%"

Vteckidd
11-06-2008, 04:47 PM
Obama also got over 63% of the "white" vote so it doesnt seem this election was motivated by race. People of all colors were voting for Obama. While i will agree that the number of blacks voting increased because it was a black candidate, but i would expect the same if a Hispanic or Asian were running too.

Its only natural for one to take pride in their race an in that respect this was a historic election.

My disdain for Obama has nothing to do with the color of his skin. I didnt like Kerry either. I just didnt like the Dems policies.

I guess my main grievance would be the people that voted for obama SOLELY based on him being black. But to make that argument you would have to have some hard to get data. Likewise im sure there was a bunch of people that DIDNT vote for him because he was black.

Again after seeing the results i dont think race played a big role in this election

Exactly.

The whole who voted for whom based on race argument is moot as there is no hard evidence to substantiate claims from either side.

Based on the numbers we do have, it stands to reason that his win wasn't based overwhelmingly on race.

And also, I agree with the assertion that if the candidate had been Asian or Hispanic, there would be significant representation from those groups as well.

The moral of the story ppl...Let it go. No amount of bitching and pointing fingers is going to change the results.

I will say this, and it may come off wrong, but hear me out.

The majority of the black people i have seen have been pleasant. they havent been gloating, or saying anything negative or derogatory. And i wouldnt expect them to. Just saying that is my observation. i was sitting in the food court of a mall on Wed for lunch, and i was surrounded by Black Businessmen and not one of them was talking (i was eavesdropping) or gloating about OBama winning. It was just another normal day.

Now, i havent heard any white people upset either from the people ive talked to.

Maybe our race relations are alot better than we think...........

Also, i think if Mccain won people would have accepted it. Maybe been upset, but would have accepted it. I dont think there would have been riots, and if there were riots, it would be from the same low life scum that rioted during OJ, World Series, Rodney King, etc.

If Obama would have lost by less than 500 votes, like Gore did in 2000, man, i shutter to think what would have happened. It prob would have been pretty bad from BOTH sides

I've seen, read and heard the race baiting from both sides since yesterday and it's ridiculous, to be honest.

Not to undermine President Elect Obama's accomplishment but his winning is not indicative of complete racial harmony in this country.

Ugly feelings and motives, from both sides, have come to the surface because of the obvious.

yeah true, i mean you hear it, but in reality, at least for me, i have encountered anyone racist toward me, and regardles of what you think, im not racist either lol.

My black friends, are still my friends, so are my white friends.

Maybe this in a way was the BEST thing that could have happened RACE wise.

You're right. " We" are not broke right now. Not even a little.
Nevermind the bailout.
Nevermind the stockmarket.
Nevermind that GM, Ford, and Chrysler are asking the government for money.
Nevermind the fact that ppl are losing their jobs and homes and are having to receive handouts. I repeat, ppl are already receiving HANDOUTS.

This thread has exploded faster than I can read it all. Forgive me if there is a lot of over lap---->( that should be understood as a "trend" with ligitimate reasons behind it.)

Yes Obama got every unethical vote in the nation.

Ive had several of my own experiences proving that people seriously have no idea what his policies are and regurgitate the media brain washing. So you are not alone others whom have stated such.

Socialized Medical Care BLOWS look at Canada.

Giving money to the poor, redistributing wealth, socializing private sectors, heavily taxing the group that spends the most and such stresses the infrastructure of thecountry. Yes our country is in hard economic times. That means we can't afford the stress on the system.

But whatever people like generalized words like "change" and "free money".

Oh and btw im bitter lol but i'll cope.

My biggest wish in all of this is that it just doesnt get too screwed up. If he manages to pull that off I'll stop voting. (LOL)

your an idiot, you think we are felling the immediate affects of bush? it doesnt happen that quickly. Plus Bush went through September 11th, Iraq War, Katrina, and countless other events that branched off from the three major ones I listed. I would love to see Obama's "experience" in those situations.

Pretty much, GOD showed his bad side on Bush and took it out on his country, since Bush is not the son of man and will not control the world. sry

Its amazing though. During the BUSH Presidency, when did you every bluntly ask someone why they supported him? I've never once heard that question these 8 years. No one can really even remember why. Its a non-issue. Yall are all hot in ur pants because he's dark, socialist, bah.
Whether those voted for the pure hope of "change" or for his policies, its a non issue, more of the country voted for than against, ESPECIALLY the money center of America, New England. Where obviously the tax increase will effect a wide majority (that does not exclude CA and TX and bits of GA, FL WA and NE, yes richness is there as well.)
So all this crying and kicking and screaming over other people other than urself talking about someone elses policies is a waste and is solely placed on this for a argument.
Maybe YOU studied Bush's policies, but very few of ur friends and co-workers can verify and read mostly word for word. So leave it be, suck it up, its someone elses turn to lead this nation, turn it around and get it headed for our futures, our kids futures. Not for ur greedy ass American views.

Another tid bit for all the Obama philes who are reading this. I think most who voted for McCain will agree with me when I say that "He was a lesser of two evils." I didn't care for either candidate but I believe after looking at BOTH of their policies (not just watching their ads) that McCain would suck less that is all. If a space blob somehow had managed to qualify for the presidency and had good ethics, policies, and experience I'd vote for him. Definitley wasn't about race/religion or anything of the sort for me. Just qualifications.

Obama was meant to win. The powers that be made it happen. He's taking the fall for GWB's mess up. Noone can fix the economy we have right now, only time will fix it. Obama is going to pull out of iraq(FUCK UP) and that will screw him over. You notice there were a lot of republicans that voted democrat this year. GWB made a mess of things and now Obama has to (TRY) to fix things. He won't be able to, and when he doesn't, Election of 2012 the Republican campaign will use the same thing the Dem's used against the republican's this year "Do you really want another OBAMA?" Noone will be thinking of the republicans GWB, they'll just be thinking of B-Racks Shit attack!
