So for me and my mom on one policy at progressive we were paying $296 a month.. so I called this morning and switched to Geico (specially if soon I am getting another car) and I paid $113 upfront and now $84 a month.. for the civic.. On my record I have a car accident at fault, a failure to yield the right away (from accident), and a speeding ticket.. They are doing me good... I also had them price the supra and they said for both cars (including customized parts on the supra) I will be paying $230 at most a month.. not too bad for a 21 year old female..

WTF..kebe

I was going to say ... geico helped me out alot.. I went from paying $250 a month to $112 for the same policy.. When I asked the guy why it was so much cheaper he said they look at your driving record over 3 or 5 years i cant remember which but they quote you for each year.. so the more recent the ticket the higher the qoute.. as for other insurance companies they just give one quote for all tickets in the past three years...

That made sense in my head, not sure about ya'lls, lol :eye:

Progressive wanted to ass rape me with a $430 a month for the civic and a TT supra... I couldnt believe geico was like $230 at most and that also includes the $2000 SSR wheels and $1500 for the upgraded breaks and suspension...(which was all I could think of at the moment)

The Ren

I hate how progressive wouldnt cover any of the xtras on either car.. they told me they werent a "show" insurence... Geico just asked me what was on the supra and told me to estimate everything on there... of course it'll go up the more you put on there but with receipts she said they would cover it 100%...

You suck....

better than you! :D

i have a clean record tho, no tickets or wrecks (knocks on wood). and since i have my homeowner's insurance through them too, i get like an extra 5-10% off.

works for me. i may be adding james to my policy soon - and then my insurance is going to go through the roof! damn teggy drivers!

I was just very impressed how they handled themselves and It feels good to have my own insurence and not have it under moms even thought I gave her 1/2 of the money for the bill...

Progressive in going through a law suit right now bc they like to go by your personal credit scores and then jack up your rates.

Most if not all companies use credit scores, though they may call it different things ..(here where I work we call it an "insurance score") and each company rates it differently too. The score helps determine how likely you are to cancel for non-payment (which costs companies the most $$) or what sort of payments you make (i.e. on time, a little late, never) LOL

I dunno how geico does it but My insurence agent tried to get me a better quote and found nothing.. all were $390+ for both the civic and the supra (full cov on both)... Geico just seemed to be the best price for me.. and like Silver said I like talking to a real person and not going through a whole bunch of automated stuff..

The Ren

I am looking to buy a TT supra soon.. I am going to Tn this weekend to look at one.. oh and I had that speeding ticket last year... and I took the defensive driving course ordered by the court.. Well.. because of that is also lowered my premium...

296$ a month for a civic

My old civic (2002 ex coupe) i literally paid $310 a month! Was fucking ridiculous...

I pay half that on the Jeep, same coverage, and teh Jeep is newer, worth more, MUCH LESS SAFETY features (no abs, no side airbags, etc. all which the civic had).
