Well, I got an answering machine message from Obama yesterday, and McCain today.... and atleast 5 from Saxby, and probably 100 from Honeycutt. So, yes I'm ready for it to be over with.

What did i learn?

I learned that BOTH sides have no fucking clue what either of their plans stand for. ANything from TAXES to VOting Records are SKEWED in one or the others favor.

What it amounts to is an incredible pile of BULLSHIT to sift through to get any sort of real answers.

They spout out numbers to get a vote, thats it, but if you really dig through their plans you find out what that numbers is really going to cost you.

What it really all boiled down to was politics as usual. There was no great CHANGE no great differences in this campaign.

There was no great CHANGE no great differences in this campaign.

That I disagree with, the nature of presidential campaigns will forever be changed after today. Consider public financing a thing of the past, also the fundamentals of building campaigns has changed. Strategies in the primaries isn't based just on major states any more, Caucus states are just as important now. Idaho.. Nebraska.. places that didn't matter before can expect major candidates to come through asking for their vote.

This election cycle has been historic in many ways.

i Just meant in terms of policies, and such, IMO, there was no change, maybe more lieing by both sides

Definitely, theres been stretching of the truth on both sides.

I will say this, just watch.. there will be backlash on Obama from some of those in the black community when they realize his policy is not just for blacks.

I was in line this morning to vote and I was disgusted at some of the black community. Some people really believe that Obama is only for them. Like he is really going to personally "change" their lifestyles. Yeah, big eye opener for me becuase I have moved from the area I was designated to vote in. God help the people, ALL OF US!
