Just picked up this gem and thought I'd share some pictures. I guess this will become the build log for this car. Its been a 2 year search for a clean one and I'm more than happy with the result.

The timing chain gasket has a leak and slings oil but it cranks right up. I took it for a little spin before it got too hot and started burning the oil. Its a fun little car. I'll have it fixed in no time!

Well I went and measured a 1J in hopes of stuffing it in here. My deams of that swap were shattered this morning when I went back up to look at the car. 1J's are about 29" and I have 30" from the firewall to the front rad support. 1" of room for a radiator isn't going to work. Kinda sucks, I had a real good deal on one with 2 W58's and the correct bell housing for $1200. Might start tracking down a 1GG. Any other ideas?

I still have the GZE out of the hatch and the thought has crossed my mind. I'd just have to make a subframe that allows for the 4A's front sump. I was just really wanting to do a 1J. I know it CAN be done though.

There's no doubt this is the wildest thing I have set my sights on but am I really crazy for wanting to make it happen?

Damn i really want one. This older Black guy has one that's a sweet light Blue color that rides around Macon. Just haven't got up the guts to ask if he'd like to sell it yet.
