I talked to the guys this morning at Vendetta's. They weren't ecstatic about the guy in the corolla deciding to pull his jdm slide or die in the parking lot. Whoever knows him, relay this to him for me.

What in the fuck would make you think it would be a good idea to put your car into a slide in the parking lot of an establishment that was nice enough to let us meet, legally, and have a good night. More so, what in the hell helped you determine that it would be cool to do it around 20 or so people? NOTE: YOU ARE NOT A DRIFTER, AND YOUR INTELLIGENCE ON SAFETY MATTERS SHOWS IT!
If you you do this again, then you will risk us losing a really cool place to hang out. And I will personally chase you down and pit maneuver your ass (because I guarantee, no matter how badass you might think you are drifting in parking lots or running touge; my car will catch you in a straight line).

I know the guy isnt on IA but I do know that there are people who know him.

I have no issues with you guys drifting in empty parking lots or whatever but honestly how much skill does it take to fishtail a rear-wheel drive car? Esp one as light as that. Whoever advised him of this meet needs to do a better job on the rules part.


Besides for that, it was an awesome meet! I had a blast and hopefully it will be even better next week!

I'm going down there after work to talk to them. Just so they know it won't happen again... It was nice to actually have a empty parking lot for everyone... No point in letting a douche ruin it for everyone.

I got up wed. morning and took my car to the Hampton Service Center b/c I know the guy who runs it. He had his guys replace my belts for me on the cheap.

My Dad goes and pick it up around 5pm, and drive to Mo-Jos to get some wings. When he gets back he tell me it won't make boost. GREAT! Get a belt job and come back with a boost leak. So I check everything out and find this.

Yep, they forgot to reconnect the TB hose, BOV hose, and the intake hose to the MAF. :2up: No wonder I couldn't make boost, right? Anyway, I fixed that and on the way home, the belt starts squealing loudly. That lasted about 10 minutes and then POP! It broke.

So the guy who runs the shop just came to get it. i told him what all I found, he was not happy and it fixing. He is also running a compression check, and check the battery and alternator just in case.

I'm hoping neither... Gonna replace wires and see what it does. Then coilpack... i don't think it would be the fuel pump, it should be relatively new meaning that it's not the stock one... Yeah... I got the waste gate... and it DIDN"T fix the problem. so it's a no go on the car for now, going to replace wires (I already replaced plugs) and the coil pack... that's all I can guess that it is now.
