im looking for a new head unit, i dont like any of the new pioneer stuff, and most kenwoods have low voltage pre-outs. anyone have any units they really like i can check out? it must have a pretty good equalizer and f/r/s pre outs. i dont need a dvd player. dont need ipod cable hookup. usb would be preferred, but not necessary. good bluetooth capabilites is a plus as well. price range <450ish.

so you dont like the pioneer 880or the 800 prs either, just curious cause those look nothing like the new new pioneer but are new and have all the audio features you can ask 4 in the price range?

He is talking about a Premier only unit, it is the Pioneer flagship, and is pretty baller for sound quality, although the usb and ipod interfaces are the old school box style so very slow and not very friendly with all of the newer ipods, and also no bluetooth.
If bluetooth is a big concern the 7000 and 8000 have it built in and I could be wrong but I believe as of now anyway are the only ones using Parrot technology.
The DEH-P800PRS as he mentioned FTW. 4 volt, F/R/S OR low/mid/high, seperate left and right 16 band eq, burr brown dac's, and time correction.

i have a 780mp premier right now and it just crapped out on me. it wont send a signal thru the rca cables anymore. a couple days ago it started cutting in and out and i figured it was about to go. now today it wont send any signal. i dunno if i want another pioneer, ill take a look at that 800prs though

very sick unit, no fancy display or color screen but the SQ and tons of audio features are great 5.5volt rca etc. I wish my old 860mp didnt break i loved that unit 6.5 volt pre-out and tones of features also
