iPod Problems

i didn't know where to post this so if its in the wrong section, sorry.
but i keep having problems with my 30 gig ipod video.
every time i plug it into my computer it slows it down and it is not being recognized by itunes.
since i cant get to it on itunes i cant restore it if that is the problem.
i knows its not my itunes/computer since i have a different ipod that works perfectly.
and i am also having problems with the headphones.
only the left headphone plays and its the ipod not my headphones.
so if anyone could help me out with these problems i would greatly appreciate it.
if not i will have to go to the ipod store.

Go to the mac store. not much we can do to help...however have u tried reseting your ipod by holding down the middle button and menu button? try that and then plug it in.

Have you had it for a long time?
Mine is about 2 years old and everything started to worn out. So far I've replace the battery (10 bucks), the LCD Screen ($15) and the faceplate ($5) off of E-bay. Works like a charm now. Your audio jack must be dead. Go on youtube, they show you how to replace every parts.

yeah ill probably have to go to the mac store and get them to fix it.
