On December 5th through 7th at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA all divisions will be racing for the NASA South East Championship. It will begin Friday with an 8 hour endurance race followed by sprint races on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s races will determine the Champions for NASA-SE followed by awards and a banquet. It will be a fun filled weekend of excitement and wheel to wheel racing from the top teams in every division including premier teams from IMSA and the Rolex Series.
The best part of this weekend will be the recipients that will benefit from "Santa's Toy Run". The staff and directors from NASA-SE have generously agreed to exchange "Tickets for Toys." Anyone who donates an unwrapped toy with a value of $10 or more will get an all access pass to watch some of the best sports car racing in the southeast; what a deal! These toys will be distributed by The Speedway Children’s Charities to local kids in foster care who otherwise might not have the Christmas they truly deserve and need.
It gets better; a number of teams will be accepting donations based on the number of laps turned during the endurance race on Friday. Special recognition will be given to all persons or companies pledging $2 or more per lap. Proceeds will be given to The Speedway Children's Charities a 501C3 non-profit organization devoted to helping numerous children's groups in Atlanta and surrounding counties. Donations are 100% tax deductable not to mention the smile that you will put on a kid’s face…priceless!
Circle Heart Racing, Fandango Racing, FarnbacherLoles Racing, Mad Dog Racing, Robertson Racing, and Wild Horses Racing plus other teams will be racing to grant a child’s Christmas wish list from the Gwinnett Children's Shelter. There are 10 kids that need us to step up as a racing community and show our love and support. Cheer these teams on as they make a kid’s wish come true.
Circle Heart Racing will be coordinating efforts to make this a weekend to remember. There are 3 ways to make a difference in a kid’s life this Christmas. These kids are counting on you to come and watch or pledge a donation to your favorite team or driver. Remember, it's not the size of the gift that matters; it's the compassion that comes from giving; especially during the holidays.
