Lookin at buy a car with b20 non vtec swap and i already have a mildly built LS. and pondering whether to keep building the LS or sell it and fully build the b20:thinking:. pros and cons of each would be great. The LS is 17yrs old and the B20 is 9 years old i believe. not sure if that makes a difference:???:

well its up to you. But what have you done to the ls? I say keep your ls and boost it.

b20 has crazy torque id do the b20 than later add the vtec head....whatever you do good luck.

forget boost unless you sleeve the b20, b20 cylinder walls are really thin. I did have a b20 in my hatch, the torque line was awsome, went straight to 130ft/ibs at 2k and held all the way across the rpms. have dyno sheet to prove. just had a fp guage and bumped up fp. b20's will run 14.0's in stripped hatches all day with minr bolt ons

Well, they both have horrible R/S ratios, independent main caps, and independent rocker arms. But if you can look past all of that, I guess the B20 would be the better choice. But, if you are fully building them, shouldn't matter which one you go with because the aftermarket sleeves and pistons will hopefully be 86mm either way.
