Insert every joke you can about fools and their money here, because anything that would set us apart from $21,000 had better come with its own keys and a title.. According to the online store GT-RR.com (http://gt-rr.com/gt-r/r35/nismo_japan/part/exhaust_system_titanium_with_diffuser/pid/178), "NISMO offers this revised rear diffuser with titanium 70mm exhaust. This system will keep noise in check, while allowing 11lbs of weight reduction through the use of titanium." Does that justify a price tag somewhat similar to what a healthy Caucasian baby can bring on the open market?
That's what we thought, too.

i bet its $210,000 YEN or some shit that would make it 2200$
Theres no way they can charge $1/4 the price of the CAR ITSELF for an exhaust system

Actually here you go read this
The entire Club Sport Kit should soon be available for North Americans for roughly $50,000 and includes the following:
-Nismo Branding
-Nismo Titanium exhaust system
-Nismo Recaro SP-X CL100 Carbon/Leather seats
-Nismo Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser
-Nismo 20 inch Rays lightweight forged aluminium rims with Potenza RE070R run-flats, front: 255/40 ZRF20 tyres and rear: 285/35 ZRF20
-Nismo Sports Suspension - Three mode-switchable Bilstein Damptronic suspension with spring rates of front: 18.5kg/mm and rear: 9.6kg/mm
If $50,000 is too much for you to spend in one shot, you can perform the Nismo upgrades via 2 smaller sub offerings.
Chassis Package - $18,000 - Suspension upgrade, Wheels and Tires (weight saving of 3.2kgs front and 2.8kgs rear)
Carbon Bucket Seats Package - $15,000 – Nismo Recaro leather-wrapped carbon fiber racing seats
Titanium Exhaust System Package - $15,000 - Lightweight titanium exhaust and carbon fiber rear diffuser (a weight saving of 5kgs)
The kit will be available in Japan as of September 30th and NO global dates have yet to be confirmed.

Focused mainly on cutting weight and tightening up handling, the package comes with race-ready Bilstein adjustable dampers, stiffer front and rear springs and 20-inch forged Rays aluminum wheels wrapped in Bridgestone RE070R run-flat tires.
Other mods include a new lightweight axle-back exhaust that sheds 11 pounds from the curb weight and a drag-reducing carbon-fiber undertray. The seats are upgraded to carbon fiber leather-trimmed Recaros, which keep the side airbags and get rid of electronic adjustments to save another 13 pounds.
Parts can be purchased individually, or the complete package is priced at the equivalent of $50,560. It is currently only available in Japan.

nismo products are rather overpriced IMO.
But the gt-r getting a bad name is relative. To most ppl on IA, yes this might be true. But skylines have amassed a huge following and many ppl enthusiasts can appreciate it for what it is, like me.
And I think the potential of the car has been shown.

Does the exhaust let you keep your warranty when you turn VDC off? It'd make sense. That $20,000 you';re paying would cover the price of the transmission they'd have to replace. Now I see why it costs so much........................
that or Nismo hates everyone who loves cars.

ehhhh the VDC voiding the warranty is no worse than Mitsu and Subaru voiding warranties on EVO and STIs for running in SCCA and at track events.
Its a supercar so the last thing they want to do is start warrantying high dollar parts for people acting a fool. The transmission is extremely sophisticated and i can see them not warrantying people doing 6000rpms launches.
as far as cost for the exhaust, its OEM, its not going to void a warranty. Relatively speaking its as stupid as a $2000 mugen valve cover back in the day. Its as stupid as paying $35,000 for the MUGEN civic that had a wing, wheels and springs.

not in the beginning they were voiding warranties from people that registered in certain track events. They were checking vins against registration sheets and voiding warranties.
it was all over Nasioc and Evolutionm
