I am selling my S2000 to get a Prius....LOL I still cannot believe it.
But then again if you look at the figures.
S2000 MPG's avg. 26
Prius MPG's avg. 45
I do 600 miles a week so with the S thats about 23 gallons of gas, while with the Prius its about 14. Multiply that by 52 weeks and thats 1196 gallons for the S and 728 for the Prius.
Then if you work out the price difference thats $3800 for the s2000 and $1900 for the Prius. DAMN thats almost $2000 a year in just gas and thats only doing 45 MPG's. Realistically i would be seeing 50 so the savings only look better.
Shit the car would actually pay for itself in almost 8 years...LOL
O well. Laugh all you want. I will hopefully be riding about at 50-60 miles per gallon. Saving $$$ for either another bike, or another S....Only time will tell

I think I'm doing the exact opposite of everyone else and buying a car that gets about half the gas mileage that all of my other cars get. LS400

Just out of curiosity have you researched operating costs etc. For a prius because typically its hella more expensive than you would think. get a diesel golf and call it a day.

I got a Honda Accord but for some odd reason I think the Prelude got better gas mileage. Then again this brand spanking new.

i dont think so. I am looking at a certified 08 with 5K miles...still has 5 year 60k mile warranty on the engine and powertrain and 6 year 100,000 mile warranty on the electric engine.
after 5 years if I still have it I think it would pay for itself and any MAJOR problems with the car would either be A. worth fixing, or B. worth selling at a low price, because:
THE BITCH GETS 50 MILES PER GALLON!!!!

but is it still a "hybrid" after that?well its a hybrid in that its a hybrid motor swap haha.
supposedly because of the weight and aerodynamics it still gets 40+ mpg. google "k20 insight" or "k-sight", too lazy to find a link.
