Well as of next weekend the car will have a new transmission. I will be installing a 2005 AP2 tranny with 34,000 miles on it. The price now reflect the car with the tranny. This will fix the clutch rattle and tranny buzzing. Flywheel will be resurfaced along with the rotors next weekend as well.`

Posted new pics of the car. It has the T1R exhaust back on it. I put it on to let people hear what it sounds like. I will take it off of the car once someone buys it. If you want it left on the car I can work something out with you.

PRICE at $14,500

PS- ALMOST ALL OF THE AFTERMARKET PARTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OFF THE CAR. IT IS ONLY BEING SOLD STOCK NOW. UPDATED PICTURES WILL BE UP THIS WEEKEND. THANKS

Ok so I am debating on selling the S right now. I am doing too much driving each week and the S is slowly killing me. I do between 600-750 miles a week and 1. the s2000 does get 30mpg, but then again a civic gets 35-40 so that extra 10mpg will add up after a few weeks, 2. driving in down town atlanta with all the pot holes in the S sucks. SO here I am..

2001 Honda S2000
63,xxx miles on engine/chassis
34,xxx on AP2 tranny
Price $16,000 obo (close to stock)

Mods:
Stock AP1 wheels powder coated black with NEW (less than 500 miles) Falken FK452 tires 215 front 225 rears
AP2 Tranny
Competition Clutch Stage 2 clutch assembly (less than 20K miles)
11lb flywheel (less than 20K miles)
AP2 Cd Player
Pioneer speakers

Bads:
-Rear end pops when going into reverse SOMETIMES
-Top has 2 minor tears in it at the same spot on both side, both are about 3/4 of an inch long and are where the top touches the body of the car, does not leak as far as I know
-other little things here and there, but nothing else major

The car is in great shape. The normal dings here and there from being at school, the grocery store, shopping centers etc, etc. The oil has been maintained regularly along with the tranny fluid and diff fluid. I have been changing the oil with Mobile 1 full synthetic every 3,000 miles, the tranny fluid with Amsoil synchromesh fluid every 9,000 miles and the diff with Mobile 1 fluid every 9,000 miles.

The interior is in great condition. It has the normal driver seat wear, no tears or anything, but you can definitely see a little wear in it. Everything else in in good condition. No sun fade, no cracks, tears, rips, etc...

The front of the car has the normal paint chips from highway miles. ANY and ALL S2000 owners will tell you the same, the S2000 LOVES rocks on the highway. I have still yet to see a single "street driven" S2000 not have any chips in it. Its not horrible, but then again its not perfect.

The only other real flaw on the car that I can think of is the dent on the trunk. It was there when I bought the car, it looks like something fell onto the trunk and dented it in two spots. Both spots are about the size of quarters. Nothing horrible but something worth noting. Also the rear bumper on the passenger side has a little scratch from when I backed up and a bush ran behind me...lol. It like a minor scratch thats maybe 3 inches hard to see when the car is clean, may even buff out, you never know.

About the transmission. It has a 2005 AP2 tranny now. Shifts smooth, has the new carbon synchros and is flawless. No clutch rattle or tranny buzz at all. The reason it was swapped was because the original AP1 has the buzzing noise that is common with 00 and 01 cars. It got to the point that I had to change it because it was too loud for comfort.

The rear end you can hear pop when you go into reverse but only sometimes. It has been doing it for the past 20K miles so its nothing I have been worried about, happens to a lot of S2K's.

I know I forgot to say something about the car, but hell im only human everyone forgets something sometime.

Feel free to ask anything. I am located in snellville, ga. Willing to meet up for anyone to look at the car. Also I am willing to take parts off the car in order to get it into a cheaper price range. I have almost all my stock parts.

THANKS

18mpg? I generally see 24-26mpg, a lot of guys i know see 28-30mpg all the time, but then again they are tuned. I know with a tune I would see 30 easily, possibly a little more.

I've actually been getting about 26mpg on around town with mine and close to 30 on the last highway trip I took.

Yeah from everything I was told I was ready for it to get horrible gas mileage but its been pretty good.

thats cool i just heard they got like 18 on the specs of the 2008, i was just curious, i had ruled an S2000 out cause of their gas mileage, but this is good to hear

Yep good gas mileage, super fun to drive. I really like the one I have a lot more than I thought I would, I have even...gasp....thought about keeping it.

But instead I'm buying another Mustang or a daily driver subaru that I won't modify...or something.

ya I just went to Minneapolis MN and back to Atlanta...avg 26MPG...but then again I was at an average speed of 80...if I bumped it down to 55-65 i am sure I would have seen a little better

ttt for some more pictures showing no damage underneath the car. Also showing the shape of the T1R exhaust, Megan test pipe, and Injen intake.

Also a valve adjustment was just preformed on the car and everything was almost to spec. I had to tighten 3 valves on the exhaust side and 2 on the intake side. Exhaust was spec'd to .0010 and intake to .0009.

nice man did it make a big difference?

On cold mornings the car still has a hard time shifting into third gear (like I said before this is normal). Once the car is warned up it shifts much smoother.

The car still has the clutch rattle, but this was expected since I have a aftermarket clutch setup. The main thing is it shifts much smoother and sounds a SHIT load better.
