I have a 93 civic SI with alot of miles on it. Every once in a while i will vbe driving around and the driver side brake locks down until i pull over let them cool down aand pump them a few times. I am not sure what it could be I have already had a mechanic look the system over and he didn't see anything after a visual inspection.
So could it be
the brake lines
or
the caliper itself going bad

So your saying that when you step off of the brake pedal, your brake is still clamping?

Hmmm thats quite odd. never ran into a problem or even heard of one like that before. If it was me though id probably just take apart the caliper and look for anything abnormal. or maybe your brake line is kinked or somehow clogged, which would cause the brake fluid pressure to remain on the caliper rather then be relived when the pedal is released. not sure though. im sure someone on here will know.

that is kinda wierd. like the other guy said you could start by cheking your lines themselves

It could holding residual pressure in the lines, caliper slide pins sticking. or even a bad caliper
