If you want to give more money to less fortunate people and/or those who are less motivated, as Obama and alot of his rich liberal friends think they and everyone else that is well off should. Do it. Noone is stopping you. It is not the role of the government to force these things on anyone.
For real for two guys wanting to "Help the little guy" there sure are doing a lot out of their own pockets. Obama I'll give credit to but Biden :lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

Up until recent years when their income increased sharply from book revenues and a Senate salary, Obama's family donated a relatively minor amount of its earnings to charity. From 2000 through 2004, the senator and his wife never gave more than $3,500 a year in charitable donations -- about 1 percent of their annual earnings. In 2005, however, that total jumped to $77,315 (4.7 percent of annual earnings), and to $60,307 in 2006 (6.1 percent)

WASHINGTON — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife gave an average of $369 a year to charity during the past decade, his tax records show.

McCain meanwhile

Between 2001 and 2006, McCain contributed roughly $950,000 to the foundation. That accounted for all of its listed income other than for $100 that came from an anonymous donor. During that same period, the McCain foundation made contributions of roughly $1.6 million.

Hell Palin even beat out Biden

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made considerably less money than rival Sen. Joe Biden, but the Palin family gave more to charity in the last two years than Biden has in the last eight combined, according to Palin's tax records released Friday afternoon.

I guess dollar signs mean more than community service. How much time did Obama spend as a civil rights attorney in low income areas while McCain was being paid under the table for his political influence? Actually, how much community service does McCain have vs Obama? Sometimes rolling up your sleeves and actually doing WORK trumps throwing money at the problem.. just an observation.

Oh no I agree with you there I just thought that it was interesting information. I just think its funny with all the dumb shit biden has said that he hasn't even really tried to give back.

According to Wikipedia Biden is one of the "least well off" guys in Congress. I won't say "poor" because the salary of a Senator is far from the poverty line. And the McCains (meaning mostly Cindy) are pretty loaded.

Biden is a single dad with 4 kids, the Palins are a married couple with 4 (Trig, Track, Bristol+1, and the downs baby?) kids but 2 incomes. So while Sarah Palin probably makes far less salary than Joe Biden (charging your state for staying in your own home is not considered part of your salary) the combined Pailn income is probably a lot more. I don't know how lucrative those snowmobile racing championships are but lets not forget Todd is an oil man too.

per Wikipedia:

ACORN's priorities have included: better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, and better public schools

Yeah we know the right wing isn't concerned with any of that stuff. :lmfao:

Gordon Gekko = not amused

Edit: speaking of ACORN:

This photo was taken when John McCain attended an ACORN conference on immigration reform back in 2006. I wonder what he's smirking about?

Per Wiki

Obama was a founding member of the board of directors of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife, Michelle, became the founding executive director of Public Allies Chicago in early 1993.[14][31] He served from 1993 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund the Developing Communities Project, and also from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of The Joyce Foundation.[14] Obama served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995–2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995–1999.[14] He also served on the board of directors of the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Center for Neighborhood Technology, and the Lugenia Burns Hope Center

Did I rip Palin for her wardrobe? All I said was that how a candidate runs their campaign is a view into how they will run the country. $150k of campaign funds used for her wardrobe is hardly effecient. I don't care what she wears.

Obama represented ACORN as a lawyer.. lawyers represent serial killers, does that make them one?

LOL And you knock someone for quoting Wiki but post up youtube links as a source.. pot, let me introduce you to kettle.
