Alright, I'm wanting to know if anybody has done/knows about some good diet plans? I'm about 5"11" and about 180lbs. I'm not wanting to get buff/cut/etc right now, just wanting to get about to the 170lb'ish area and then start body building. I've looked around but no sucess on what I'm looking for.
I usual eat about 2 full meals a day. I hardly ever eat Fast Food! I drink sweet tea mostly and water. I do not drink any soda what so ever, makes me really sick. And as far as Junk food, maybe chips and salsa once in a blue moon. Not really a junk food person.
If you don't mind sharing some of your diet plans/charts from now or the past I'd highly apperciate it and reward whoever can help +4. Or some plans you've came across on the internet, I'd rather have some from you that have had tried it and had sucess. Thanks, Fast-Tech

When I wrestled and weightlifted in highschool, I always had to stay under 139lbs and i was around 150 regular. Best thing for me was to just stay away from junk food...which you already say you do. But I would never eat aft dark...I love sweet tea myself, hard as hell to not drink it when eating. I also use to break my meals up, instead of 2 larger meal, try like 4-6 smaller meals. This worked for me to help me keep my weight down and drop a couple pounds. I am short and smaller framed 5'6 at 155..so this might help you more then me...because a few pounds on me goes a long ways.. Cardio was a big thing too, helps to burn alot of calories.. Hope this might help a little..GL

Thanks man, I'm a bigger framed person so I'm sure I'd lose more pounds... I'm going to try that 4-6 smaller meals though and stay away from sweet tea and drink water instead. I'll rep as soon as I can, to much rep in the last 24hr shit is gay!

I don't go to a "GYM" really! I have a Bench set here at my house. And other stuff like curl bar, dumb bells, etc......
I'm about to start looking into getting a membership somewhere at a good gym with different equipment that I don't have.

Usually I'll eat some sort of lunch and dinner. Dinner is always a good full meal, like some sort of meat and then my veggies.

You want to lose fat, not lean body mass(muscle, bone mass...etc). To do that you must burn more calories than you take in. Simple math. Stick with a high protein/low carb diet with about 1700 calories a day and I guarantee you'll lose 15 lbs in 1 month. I would also recommend weight training/cardio several times a week as they help out a lot. And no soda/tea/or even fruit juice. Fruit juice is loaded with sugar/sodium/carbs. Skim milk is your best friend.
Stay away from the word "diet". These short term diets that ppl bounce on and off are are not good, one should permanently change his diet towards a healthier palet.
And that's what a diet is, what you eat on a regular basis.

Thanks man...... I'm sitting here now trying to figure out some sort of chart to keep track of my calories and so far no tea today what so ever. Having grille pork chops, black eyed peas, and corn bread for dinner. That not bad is it? And I'm going to eat a smaller porption than usual.

ooo that corn bread is full of calories! LOL Although I love cornbread!
That's the hard part of losing weight, portion control....
You don't need a chart and calculator and all that stuff, just think about stuff before you eat it, and think, am I really hungry, or do I just want to taste something. I don't know why, but cutting down carbs make you lose weight a lot quicker than anything else. One reason could be because eating a lot of carbs raises the insulin levels in your body which cause your body to be in fat storing mode rather than fat burning mode....

I didn't eat much of the corn bread, like the 1/2 the size of a pack or cigs... I just wanted the taste....lol
I was going to try and have some chart just to keep myself under 1700 cal, you know kinda keep up so I don't go over or anything. But I'm deff. control'n my portion's now though, like alot smaller than what I was...haha
Thanks again man, any other advice or anything, send it my way!
