Tomorrow I will be taking the FE exam. I have to wake up at 5am to get ready for this damn exam, and I will be spending 8 hours of my day taking this test. :( If you don't know what the FE exam is it's the qualifier exam to become a PE (Professional Engineer). I have to pass this exam, practice in my field for 5 years, then I take the PE exam, and become an official engineer. Hopefully I pass this exam because I paid damn $200 to take it and more than likely my starting salary of whatever job I decide to take will increase :ninja:

I just got home from taking it. It was a long day. I woke up around 5am, got there around 645am, and started at 740am. Man I'm tired as hell from it. I had two 4hr parts of just damn calculations, and I dont want to do another calculation every again LOL. I do believe I passed tho. The 1st part was kinda rough, but by the 2nd test stuff started to come back flow. I guess I just got to wait it out for the results.

Just remember one thing coming from a mechanical engineer. I've been doing engineering for the past 18 years. I've never really needed the PE.

When interviewing for my last job, there was alot of do you have a PE. My response no but I can get one. Na dont really need it here. It's good to have but most of the times it just becomes a piece of wall art to clutter your house with.

I interviewed/ consulted for one job, the guy kept telling me that you are not a real Engineer if you dont have the PE, you are a pretend one.

I said if I'm such a pretend Engineer then why are you paying me $100 a hour to fix the problem that you can not solve.

I told the guy that worked for him that I will fix the problem for them but I highly doubt I would work for him on a full time basis due to his be-littling nature.

I fixed the problem that they had with something they designed and it still works. Made $800 plus mileage that day.

Got more sex then than from a girlfriend over a month's time. Still wasn't clicking. About six months later, someone that knew her mentioned she was rumored to have STD's. I freaked and ran to a test site. Got tested. I'm clean.

Got tested again when signing my life over to the marines. Still clean. Not sure how, but thank god!
