Need some basic info

So I was reading paul's post about favorite forum on ia, and decided to check this one out, as it seems interesting. Anyway to start off with, I'm jewish and not really religious at all, don't really know much about it/haven't really cared much for it either. Being as that is so, I obivously don't know the whole story about jesus and all that stuff. So anyone want to give a quick cliff notes and what not to catch me up. Cause i would like to participate in some of the threads as well, but don't want to go in unprepared haha. I know I could google it, but I figure it would be easier here and more informative.

3 kings brought gifts by following the star (gold, inscence and murrh)
he was brought up jewish
felt there were some flaws in the jewish way of life
started preaching his own beliefs, (not eye/eye but turn the other cheek more stuff also)
gained followers 12 disciples
one turned on hime judas and turned him into the Romans
crucified under Pontius Pilot
buried and rose three days later
people started to like the ideals he preached so then formed the religion

well close but there's way more to it. and joseph was only his earthly father.. God was Jesus' real Father. (and no God did not fornicate with mary to make this possible) and Jesus didn't just say... i don't like the way the jewish are doing things i'm gonna practice my own religion. He preached what God told Him to preach.. and Jesus did way more than preach. He preformed miracles... but most of those key points were it.

ironchef your best bet is to just read the bible.... it's gonna tell you all u need to know. (and i don't mean the whole thing the birth of Christ starts some where in Luke... i'd start there)
