I mean seriously? Awesome car, but that back wheel and tire looks like shit. There might as well be a virgin mary mural painted on the side of it.

Bmw guys in Europe and those here that try to emulate the " Euro" style are all about style and stance.

It's actually becoming more popular here too, the same way the Dub guys are getting more and more into the OEM+ and tuck and stretch look.

all these Bimmers are sex!! especially the ones with BBS rims

They're all nice but I don't quite get it. They all look the same. Its BBS Wheels and tires stretched a stupid amount.

Don't get me wrong, I love most of em, I just wish someone would get a little unique.

And by unique, I don't mean pink and covered in Hello Kitty :ninja:

This phrase could be used when talking about any group of modded cars.. People tend to follow what looks good. That said, just because they are mesh doesn't mean they are BBS and this thread definitely doesn't cover all the modded BMW's in the world.

Let's face it, the standard recipe for almost any BMW consists of BBS wheels and a drop. While it does look good, a fresh approach would be nice.

Because they're made for eachother and some people just don't care to put in the time and effort that it takes to be different. Still a classy look regardless. My car is shunned by BMW purists and the like, and it's not even THAT different. But you almost have to think outside the box to run stuff that you don't see much. My HRE's are off a Ferrari, so I'm running adapters, which is heresy in the BMW world. Point is, there are cars that are different, but the people who want the classy look that is easy to execute go with what's proven to work and look great.

Okay,what would you consider a fresh approach that actually looks good? Everything has been done already, these are not new cars. Just like it's typical for most Hondas to have an overly large exhaust tip, or 240's to have drift charms... hard to come out with something new and different and not look like complete shit. Plus these pics represent a very small portion of the BMWs worldwide. Honestly how many BMWs do you see day-to-day slammed on some BBS? (besides mine)

Most of the BMWs in this thread don't even have BBS.

I just rechecked it... There are WAY more O.Z./ACS wheels than BBS. Yes the BBS RS(mesh) is popular but that is because of the classic look.

As said the trend is currently what it is but before that it was the same as well. There are still a overwhelming majority that are putting on wheels that are the 'correct' offset and have 'properly' sized tires.

Just like in every other car makes 'mod scene' many look exactly the same. When you go different everyone in that scene makes fun of you. Thus it drives many people to follow that trend :)
