Where exactly is the pump (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2409367#)
and how do i remove it
I think its my problem so i need to remove it
The problem is i herd i have to drop the tank (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2409367#) to get to it....
and the rods that support the straps holding the tank is rusted to SH*T
is there any way to get to it without dropping the tank??

And where is the fuel filter located....
Unless you guys think its a different problem...
**Problem**
Engine turns
almost starts but doesnt
I can spray a light mist of fuel into the intake and it will start and if i keep spraying lightly it keeps running but once i stop spraying it dies....
I know its not good to do this but I need to test it some how

I think the pump has gone bad from sitting around so long
and the fuel is also old.....

PLEASE I NEED HELP
ANY WOULD BE APPRECIATED

PS: im volkswagen guy so i dont know too much on Hondas and i would love the help
Thanks

If you turn the key to the on position after the car has been a sitting for a little while, you should hear a whirring from the back of the car for a second or two. Thats the fuel pump. Or you can have someone else listen down the gas fill tube to hear if its priming the system. If you dont hear that, the fuel pump is bad. I dont think that there is anyway to get to the pump on that car without dropping it; unless you want to cut a whole into your floor panel in the rear. The pump, i believe, is located right in the tank.

the pump is over the left rear wheel on this model, they didn't put it in tank till 1988 model year. they did have some issues with this pump also but the relay caused problems also.
