i like the old design better. This one looks cheaper to me.

And as was proven to some in this thread (http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195402&highlight=prius)

A Pruis can be made nice if you forget the anti hybrid nonsense.

I drive a 7 liter V8 so obviously I am no tree-hugger. However I also own an 09 Camry Hybrid (15k miles on it). I have put about 300 miles on a Toyota Prius as well.

I have to say the Camry Hybrid is WAAY better than the Prius. The Prius is small, dinky and feels really cheap even though its only about 2-3k less (IF you can find one). Its also much noisier than the Camry. However, you do get between 6-12mpg more with the Prius.

With the Camry Hybrid I've NEVER gotten less than 34, average 35-37 city/mixed and top out at 40MPG pure highway at 70mph constant. Quite impressive. With the Prius you can get 50MPG+ pure highway.

From what I know Toyota is going to stick to the general design of the existing Prius but add solar panels on the roof and add a plug-in hybrid option. The pics above aren't too different from the current offering and could be it.

I'm looking forward to the future plug-in hybrids, should be pretty cool.
