u know what... that does upset me...:( because that guy has been tryin to sell that car for almost 6 months..lol and has resorted to calling it a civic.. And i sold mine for 1800$ in a week.. first he had it at 1100$, now he doubled the price..and named it a civic... amazing!

Now i read an article that said that at one point in the mid 90's, Escorts like yours were just as popular as Hondas in the the emerging Sport compact scene of the time.....True/False

The previous Escort GT was the most popular one.... i used to always get compliments from older guys about my car, saying how clean it was, and how they had a 1st gen GT as their first car....and so on. Actually my 1st escort i got as my first car was a 4door automatic lx..lol and i hated that car at first, but liked b/c its all i had. And got fond of the GT's/protege lx's... because they were soo much better than the regular sohc escort. But back in 02 they had a little popularity with body kits/euros..etc, but al that stuff went away. And there has always been a long list of engine parts for the motor....so for a gearhead into FWD cars, the GT has always been a hidden gem. but some people cant get past the name "ESCORT".. so it will never be as popular as a honda....but some people read up and see the potential.... and its amazing how cheap they are, and how easy it is to make reliable power...OEM oil squirters-forged crank/rods.. is a great thing! :D
