Guys i have a slight problem on my hands. I have 8 spline tuner lugs on my TL and I seem to have misplaced my key. How would I go about taking these things off? Anyone have an 8 spline key that I can borrow or a tool that I can use to take it off?

Appreciate the help ahead of times guys.

snap on got a universal lug remover, its got groves on the inside, you hammer it on, then twist it off and it brings lug with it. need new lugs afterwords though

go to any tire place and they should have every lug key known to man.

Even then, it's still wrong. Most places don't carry any of the random-groove ones like what Toyota/Lexus uses. Spline drive is easy though.

Mine stripped before and I used the correct size star bit to replace it. the key they give you for those lugs always strips out anyways. They're cheaply made.

I've gotten lucky a few times with a vice grip and some duct tape (to give the vice something to REALLY bite into). g/l!

At work we have three different spline-drive sockets, and I haven't found anything spline drive that I couldn't remove with one of those.

If I do, we have a reverse-threaded lock remover. It'll tear the lugnuts up a bit, but it'll get them off. Lugnuts aren't expensive at Autozone, so I can't imagine why there'd be that much worry involved. If you're determined to get them off without hurting them and they don't match up to any spline drive, you can play with some hex-sockets and see if they will work, though you'll have to hand-turn them and go very slowly and carefully.

The locks like what Toyota/Lexus use where there's a two-piece lugnut with a key-groove cut into it where they mate are TERRIBLE. They tear up like crazy, and even though they look alike, are usually just slightly different enough to tear each other up if it's wrong.
