Well I have a dilemma here. I have an EP3 that I am wanting to boost but don't know what route to go with. I like the feel of a supercharger but a turbo could produce more power. There are two kits that I am looking to get within the next three months.

Jackson Racing Rotrex Supercharger

I have no idea how this system works exactly it seems to mount very strangely. It is suppose to have characteristics of both a turbo and supercharger. If anybody knows anything about this thing let me know. Their website wasn't that much help.

Full Race Stage 1 turbo kit
This kit seems very dependable and is proven to make a fair good amount of power and needs little modifications if I ever want to make more power. So let me know what you think.

i'm usually not too fond of superchargers on honda's b/c they are usually the jackson roots style blower that can't be intercooled. since oscar broke away from moss and made this new design it seems to be more interesting...i'd like to see it if you end up going with it. make sure you get a fmic and modify the piping for it.

all the full-race and peakboost kits that i've tuned are built well and efficient. definately worth it as well.

Thanks for all of the imput. I going to do some more research on the supercharger depending on what I find out is what's going to determine my decision. I keep you guys posted.

Turbo, hands down. Cant have to much characteristics of a turbo cause its ran off a belt and causes drag = -hp.

But is his pockets aren't extremely deep a reliable turbo setup can be more costly than supercharged. Supercharger is usually more reliable...but if you want lots of power turbo all the wayyyy

Is that a camry is your sig? Looks good, is it modded?

I've never seen someone tastefully mod a camry...it should be done!!!

Actually, a supercharger can be less reliable... it all depends on how it was tuned/installed/ and how hard it was pushed with certain internals...

I say do both... :ninja: But seriously, it depends on how much power you want to make in the long run and what your taste is... I prefer turbo's, They don't use HP to make HP like superchargers :screwy: But keep us posted what you decide man, GL on the build. :goodjob:

^^^each can be just as reliable, depending on the tune...good point

turbo,

takes too much work to get the SC to keep up with a similarly boosted turbo. Also the torque in 1st is a pain in the ass unless you limit boost, which turbo already does with it's lag. If you do go with a SC I would say get a roots based one. Its instant and makes better power than a procharged car (from what I've seen). If you do, there is an incredibly effecient SC that came out by Harrop, TVS. Adds over 150 hp for our cars vs the m62 heaton and is almost a direct swap.

Also roots based sc's can be intercooled, i have one in my intake mani with laminova cores. It adds to blockage though.

all in all, like everyone said...go turbo and avoid dragging that SC in the upper RPMS.
