View Full Version : so im thinking of getting a benz!

i have owned three hondas before i hoped in a bmw, and needless to say, i was hella more satisfied with the bmw than a honda. so im thinking of getting a clk 320 or 430, maybe lowering it on some deep dish dubs, you know keeping it clean and simple, heres some ideas of how it could turn out.. the first pic is a stock clk430 1998 I believe.

I don't see it that way. The badge on the car isn't what makes it worth the money.

Yeah, considering a spankin' new C-class is like ~$30-33k.... Hell EVO's and STi's cost more than that new. Older C-class cars are WELL under $20k

True. I guess the general consensus of Honda on this forum is cheap civic. Even if its got tasteful mods or expensive JDM stuff (not saying anything about the OP's car), and the thought about Benz is $$$$. I never really researched the price on Benz's but looking now they are affordable.

I dunno...just random sh.it will quit working...she had distributor problems...car would just shut off while driving...sun roof...been through like 5 bulbs for the fog/running lights... etc

hmm will keep that in mind, but i know my bmw's back power windows had went out, but i didnt have too much mechanical problems

No your mom is not the only one.

I know people who used to work in the car audio department and the older C and especially E classes are absolute junk.

Given that your Screen Name is VIPSTYLE, i'd go with the one that actually look vip. That would be the middle one with black on black. All the rest look like BUTTCHEESE to me. But I don't like Benzo's.

Mercedes has had allot of problems but they began to turn it around about 4-5 years ago.

The last time Mercedes Benz over engineered their cars was in the early 1990's and 1994 was the last time Mercedes topped the J.D. power initial quality study. They went down the list for many years but have come back up are in 4th place overall behind: Porsche #1 (duh), Infiniti #2, and Lexus #3. Since Daimler has sold Chyrsler, more good is set to come for Benz and their product.

Those cars are nice...Good balance of luxury/power imo. Uncle has one and it's pretty fun to drive. Only downside he said was the maintenence. The new 09' C class is nice- thought about those?
