If you're an idiot, please stay home on election day. Don't vote for a candidate based solely on the fact that that's the party you always voted for or that's the party your parents or friends vote for. GET INFORMED PEOPLE!!!

If you're one of these whining uninformed twits screaming "Bush Lies!" and "911 was an inside job!", please, for the love of this country, stay the fuck home on election day.

An uninformed choice is worse than no choice at all.

Oh shit... I forgot Bush was an honest president, and that we went to war for righteous reasons.

This isnt about Bush, it was just an example. Thanks for your reply anyway...

You specifically mentioned "uninformed twits screaming ""Bush Lies!"". I'm just pointing out that Bush did lie, and that by using that particular choice of words you made yourself sound guilty of the very crime you were seem so adamantly against.

But way to be looking out for all of us anyway...

Yea so it was a bad example i suppose..Bush is never a good example.
So i guess Obama can count on your vote huh?

LOL this thread is about to fail, its going against its owners own rules. LOLOLOL. Whether driven minded votes for Obama or McCain, its his choice not yours.

And yes, Bush nikka azz did lie, we went to war for oil, not for democracy. Cuttin checks for his boys before he leaves office. LOL

I'm not telling him who to vote for. Did you see that anywhere? As long as he knows what each person is capable of, that's all the matters. As long as you know what you're getting in to, then by all means, vote for whoever u want.
So lololol......

The beauty of this country is that one can vote for whoever they'd like to
vote for, decided by any number of reasons or not one at all, and there isn't shit anyone can do about it. The end.

That's cute. So based on the way you worded that I guess McCain can count on yours? Actually my obviously knowledgeable friend, I'm reasonably informed, and if I vote it'll be going independent. But the more informed you actually are the less inclined you are to vote. Neither of these candidates are what I think is best for my country, and I don't want to vote based on who I'd like to see not get into office.

But I'm still thinking.

But we have to remember. If we vote, we have no right to bitch.

If only informed people voted I would honestly guess the percentage of the general population voting would probably be in the single digits. 20% at the MOST.

Have you ever watched or read any documentaries on 9/11? Theres a lot of very good evidence that would suggest there was more to it than planes crashing into buildings.

Oh jesus, not this shit again. There was no setup, the "documentaries" were made by retarded college students. Popular mechanics already debunked the myths (there's a book out if you need proof)

While I don't really believe either candidate is right for our country and I really don't believe either really knows wtf to do with the country. I certainly know I don't want a socialist president. So, the non-socialist candidate seems a little better imho..

A lot of the people who are voting are just like the people in the video. Most don't even have a grasp of how the government even works. Im not telling people to believe what I say, im telling people to believe the FACTS.

I think every time I've gone to the polls, i've seen someone showing someone else who to vote for and I just believe that's pretty dumb, especially when this affects our future. People should use their brains and make an educated decision. Not just a random guess based solely on how well someone sways them with fancy words and how they look good on tv.

I know everyone has the right to vote but some people just shouldn't be able to...

If you don't vote, you have no right to complain either. At least if you vote, you put your opinion out there. Failure to vote is sad. Everyone has a reason to vote and no one's reason is better than the next.

You need to put down to idealist pipe and stop smoking. This nation is full of arrogant idiotic assholes, who are full of pride and prejudice. Wishing dumb people wouldn't vote is like wishing morons didn't have opinions. It's a very novel idea, but it just doesn't work like that.

And that's not true. Why the fuck should someone vote for what the believe to be the "lesser of two" evils. I don't want to vote for any evil. I want to vote for the hero who will actually make a difference. But there are no hero's in American politics. Just because someone chooses not to vote, doesn't mean they are any less of an American citizen. The game is rigged folks.

Obviously I would rather vote for the hero who will save our great country. However I will vote against the candidate going to turn our country into the People's Republic of China or the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic.

I am not saying you are any less of an American then the next person, I believe that if you don't vote, meaning any election, you don't have a right to complain. The only exception to this is if you can't vote because of age.

People can form their own opinions. Obviously that is my opinion.. Im not forcing it on anyone..I was asked what my position was on this topic so i answered the question.

What do you have to bring to the table other than "do you know what you're talking about?" Yes I know what im saying. And what im saying is far from garbage my friend..Do you know what you are saying? Tell me something you know about either candidate that is based on facts.

Really? if thats what you believe cool.... but to some you sound very very misinformed when you say stuff like that.

Im not gonna sit here and re type the same ole stuff over and over on a repetitive discussion.. Noone is going against anyones opinions but YOU!. You type one thing than just go totally against in the next post. People should be informed, YES...but just because someone believes in something opposite of what you do dont mean they cant or shouldnt vote. Just b/c someone wants to vote for something that you think is outrageous or not worth a dam, is their business, and their decision. Sooo this whole thread is absolutely pointless....Like i said in the other thread, about the SAME thing.... people have the right to vote for a person for any reason they see fit.. its like telling someone how to feel..or what to think. You feel your way fine.. so be it.. dont forget to vote, ther is someone who feels just as passionate as the total opposite point of view, that will debate with you to the end.....and thats what your lookin for....But whats the point? you have made your decision already.

lol, I covered this topic at the start of the thread. If you really think Obama's gonna turn this capitalist monster into anything even remotely resembling China, then you're as silly as rubber dog shit.

RedEj8

I didnt make this thead to debate who is the right person for our country.
I made it to get people to at least learn something about who they are voting for instead of just blindly voting.

Ok so I asked one persons opinion and i received it. In return I was asked the same question and also answered it.

Do I think Obama really has the power to turn our country into China? No
But id rather not support someone who's ideals are not completely unlike those of the people who ruled socialist Nazi Germany and the likes.
Capitalism is not as bad as most make it out to be, especially compared to socialism.

Believe me or not, I don't care either way.

Back on subject to the original post, it is obvious and expected that the majority of voters aren't too well informed on politics. Why do you think the two major candidates spend so much time, money, and effort on their campaign? They spew out anything they think a voter would want to hear to get them to vote for their party. Politics is a popularity contest, not a scientific debate:goodjob: Both parties are aimed at getting the sheep on board, not the more intelligent people. Just my :2cents:
