its not to hard.. just set your shutter to be open for like 20-30 seconds. and then use a light to "draw"

Same.
So. Is it just one person writing the letters or is it one personn per letter?

the easiest way to do it is get a little flash light or key chain light. try to find a really dark area so you can set a long exposure( 30 sec). then snap the pic and quicky run out and "paint" what you want it to say. the camera will capture the light from the flash light but not enough reflects off your body so you appear hidden.

oh and it is just one person writing it. in this case it was me. like i said, snap the pic ( long exposure) run out there, write with the light ( yeah that rhymed) and then get the hell out of the picture. kevin ( bandy design) did a very similar pic with thackers GTO and the sparklers.

That one is much better IMO, i would set your white balance to Tungsten, if it isnt already. THEN if you have a speedlight, do either a rear curtain sync on the front of the car or somethin, or just hit the test button after you've moved out of the frame. I think that would look sick
