sup guys today im about to Remove my AC from my car.. ITS a 99 civic.ex ..

I just need a quick run down on how to do it???:goodjob:

just start disconnecting it nothing special to it.

thats what i figure but... any FREON going to spray out of hoses or anything??

Yeah, High Pressured Freon will be released into your lungs.

Google it or check Honda tech.

ill help but i want your compressor...:D

if your worried about parasitic loss just take off your belt

if your trying to take off wieght

pull the high or low line(be prepared to move back quickly)and have the car in a well ventilated area...it takes about 15 min to release(the proper way is to have it vacuumed)

take the compressor off and close the lines(if your not taking them out)

^^ i just want it off cuz it will look cleaner in the bay, and it really doesnt do much for me in that car.... sooo yea...


I started to press down in the hi gas valve to release all the Sh!T BUT I WAS thinking it was taking to long...

soo i will start unbolting the lines then???:thinking:

just remove the schrader valves from the high and low let it go

yea keep it. if it doesnt bother you keep it IMO. if u decide to sell it one day. it will sell faster with a/c lol. :)

^ I still have all parts if i need to put back in.... My buddy jim brown and I are gonna do our own wire tuck and clean the bay up.. soo i think it will look alot better

You will need an 8 lb. sledge, the compressor bracket bolts should break straight out of the block after a couple of hits. Simple as that.
