ZC CAM ON A Y8 HEAD

I just got a ZC cam of my friends SOHC (vtec) ZC motor. i have notices that it is lighter than the y8 cam, will it be okay to use on my y8? and also how will it help or will it at all.

afaik the sohc zc vtec is the same as a d16z6 sohc vtec. so yes, it will work but its not worth the effort to put it in.
