Yeah so i have had this wild craze to rebuild my old CRX. The one that made 190whp not the crazy 240whp one. Well after months of searching, i just cant find an EF in good shape for a good deal.

I ended up buying ATLTSXs old Red EG Hatch SHell for a decent deal.

I really dont have big plans, i just want to make 190-200whp and have something fun to play with when i have time. I plan on buying a CTSV to daily drive in FEB so this will make a nice fun weekend only car.

I havent decided which way to go yet, im leaning H22 because they are so cheap and make good power. I just cant bring myself to buy a $3000 GSR when i can get an H22 for $1000. Ive already done pretty much everything there is to do with a B series, i figure its time to move onto the H.

Ill update the thread as i make progress, itll prob be APril before its up and running as im in no rush.

Mainstream will be doing most of the work as i get money and motivation, props to them for letting me store the car there storage fee free (I hope)

to be continued

maybe b/c he actually has money to spend on the swap.. and has knowledge of doing the whole swap with all the modifications needed to do the swap right... he might of told you to stick with b series b/c it would be easier... :???:

man h22s in eg hatchs are insane.
i know a guy here in town that had one and it was very quick only prob was he kinda lost it in a corner and into a tree. the fronts end up heavy as crap with that big motor in them.
im excited to keep up with your build thread.. good luck!!!

My two cents are to go with an h22. It's cheaper to start, has more displacement, head is tons better, and you can exceed your goal on the stock block :D . You said before how you loved the reliability of the 180 whp crx. What better than a stock bottomend for reliability and fun. If I didn't have so much b-series crap lying around, I would have gone "big block" a long time ago. :2cents:
